Angarskiye Prudy Park: a green recreation area with modern entertainment for every taste

"Angarskie Prudy" - a recreation area in the Dmitrovsky district of the Northern Administrative District of Moscow. Until recently, it was officially divided into three parks owned by different organizations. After the merger, the territory of the green recreation area was reconstructed. Today it is a great place for family and sports activities. Picturesque natural landscapes, clean air, birds singing, as well as interesting rides - and all this in the city. Historical background

Until 2012, in the Dmitrovsky district of the Northern Administrative District of the capital, there were three separate green areas close to each other: Korovinsky Park, Apple Garden or Dmitrovsky Park and VISHOM Park. These places have been leading their modern history since the 60s of the last century. Fruit orchards of the Moscow Institute of Agricultural Engineering were laid out on the green territory. The old-timers of the district remember the time when it was very inexpensive to buy delicious fruits and berries on the site of the modern Angarsk Ponds.

Spirkov Vrazhek stream flows here, which is a tributary of the Likhoborka River. In the 1960s, the source was enclosed in an underground collector. The Spirkov Vrazhek Stream feeds two ponds, their modern names are Big and Small Angarsk ponds. It is in honor of the reservoirs that the whole recreation area got its name.

The territory was completely open for walking and recreation of citizens in the 1990s. At about the same time, the banks of reservoirs were landscaped and raised. In 2008 and 2012, the park was reconstructed and merged. Today it is an excellent natural recreation area equipped for walking, sports and entertainment.

"Angarskie Ponds" is a picturesque green recreation area. A variety of trees and shrubs grow here. In summer, you can observe flowering flower beds and neat lawns. According to many residents of the area, the park is especially beautiful in spring, when jasmine, lilac, cherry and apple trees bloom abundantly here.

The real highlight of the recreation area are two local reservoirs. There are two islands in the Big Pond, and there is a pier on its shore. There are fish in the reservoirs, here you can see ducks and gulls. Fishing enthusiasts sit on the shores all year round. Swimming is allowed in the Big Pond during the warm season.

Pedestrian and bicycle paths with appropriate markings are laid throughout the park. Angarskiye Prudy delights its guests with a sufficient number of benches, gazebos and barbecue areas.

Sports & family holidays

After reconstructionan open stage was installed in the park, many children's and sports grounds, a fenced area for walking dogs was allocated. Young guests of the park are invited to play in children's towns designed for different ages. Teenagers and adults can safely use the table tennis table. In the warm season, there is a water transport rental where you can rent a boat, boat or catamaran.

Angarskie Prudy Park is ideal for cycling, rollerblading and scooters. There is a separate area for extreme sports. In winter, a skating rink is open and ski slopes are laid. Many visitors to the recreation area practice Finnish and walking, running. Fans of more difficult workouts are happy to work out on free outdoor simulators.

Rides and entertainment

In the summer, the park has a children's amusement area. Kids can jump on trampolines and ride a train here. Children will also like the local equestrian club "Merry Pony". Tired of walking and active entertainment, you can visit one of the cafes. They sell snacks and drinks to go. You can enjoy a full meal sitting on a cozy veranda. Some cafes offer the organization of banquets, weddings and private celebrations. You can spend the whole day in this recreation area. Many residents of the surrounding microdistricts proudly call the Angarsk Ponds one of the most beautiful and cleanest places in the capital.

The Angarsk Ponds natural area is limited by Korovinskoye Highway, Sofya Kovalevskaya, 800th Anniversary of Moscow and Angarskaya streets. The exact address of the park: Sofia Kovalevskoy street-1. From the metro station "Petrovsko-Razumovskaya" you can take bus number 194, you need to get off at the stop "Angarskaya street". If desired, you can also get there by private car. Angarskiye Prudy Park in Moscow is a great place for sports and family recreation. There are no historical sights here.
