The actor comes from Estonia. Sergei Parshin was born on May 28, 1952 in the village of Kohtla-Jarve. His father and mother were simple miners: they worked in shale mines. The future theater and film star was baptized by Father Alexei, who later became the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.

Sergei Parshin began to show interest in high art since childhood. While still a schoolboy, he began to attend a drama club. An understanding of his place in the acting profession will come to the future actor later, but for now, having received a certificate, he decides to enter the Leningrad State Theater Institute. Theatrical debut was successful

At the Alexandrinsky Theatre, in whose troupe a graduate of LGITMiK was enrolled, there is a performance with his participation: “The Green Bird” (C. Gozzi). In it, he plays Truffaldino, and the role brings him the first success in the acting field. Critics, after watching this production, noted that the artist Parshin Sergey confidently owns technique, has a sense of humor and knows how to laugh at his hero.

At the same time, not everyone knows that the actor's debut was to take place in another performance - "Theatrical Fantasies". As for the genre, it was positioned as a cheerful and sharp - for those times - plot.

One way or another, but the premiere did not take place due to disagreements between the author of the play and the theater management.

Nevertheless, Sergei Parshin continued to hone his skills, turning into a plastic, temperamental and organic actor, who later could play radically diverse images. The Alexandrinsky Theater became his home. On his stage, he played many bright andmemorable roles: Redkozubov (“Untilovsk” by L. Leonov, 1978), Kudashev (“The Thirteenth Chairman” by A. Abdullina, 1980), Banning Cook (“Rembrandt” by D. Kedrin, 1977), Belan (“Melody for a Peacock” by O. Zahradnik, 1983) and others.

A new round of creativity

Some time later, Sergei Parshin (actor) was in a creative search and did not take part in performances. The actor returned to work in 1993. He again revealed to the viewer the full depth of his talent in the image of Platonov according to A. P. Chekhov (staged by Svetlana Milyaeva). Parshin's wife fell ill with cancer, and a lot of money was required for treatment, which the actor did not have. Work in the theater brought not too much money. And once one of Sergei Ivanovich's friends suggested that he star in an advertisement for a "male" drug in order to earn extra money. She isshown to this day. The spouses are no longer alive, and Parshin is invited to star in another video, and the actor agreed to this.

“I'm not promoting cigarettes or alcohol. I have no problems with the “male” part, so I can’t talk about how effective the drug is. Some of my friends have stated that this is really the No. 1 remedy. In the West, famous actors do not shy away from appearing in commercials, and, after all, why is it shameful to advertise a drug for impotence?

The LGITMiK graduate met his first wife at his native theater university: together they learned the basics of the art of impersonation. The future wife of Sergei Ivanovich worked as an art critic in the city House of Fashion Models. The young actors got married in their fourth year, and the famous Soviet actor Vasily Merkuriev became a witness from the groom's side. But after some time, family happiness was overshadowed by the news that Sergei Ivanovich's wife, Tatyana Asstratyeva, fell ill with oncology. I urgently needed money for an operation. What did Sergey Parshin, whose personal life was under threat, do to save his other half? As noted above, he agreed to appear in the Cialex commercial, not seeing anything reprehensible in this. At that moment, it didn’t matter to him how to earn money, the main thing was that his Tatyana would recover.

Unfortunately, the actor could not helpto his wife, who died in 2006. In a marriage with her, the actor had two sons: Alexander and Ivan. The second followed in the footsteps of his father and became an actor. The first one abandoned this profession, although he played with his father in the film "June 22, at exactly four o'clock …", filmed by Boris Galkin. The grandchildren of Sergei Ivanovich have long been living abroad, but this does not prevent the actor from communicating with them.

Certainly, Sergey Parshin, for whom family is the main value in this world, went through difficult trials in his personal life. He found the strength to marry again, and the People's Artist Natalya Kutasova became his chosen one. With her, the actor starred in Vladimir Shevelkov's film Love Under Supervision. According to the actor, he has a wonderful wife who knows how to keep a home.

The actor spends most of his time in St. Petersburg: he has a three-room apartment on Vasilyevsky Island with a beautiful view of the B altic Sea.
