Coaching

Seven years after the end of Alain's careerGiresse took charge of FC Toulouse. It happened in 1995. However, three months after the conclusion of the contract, he was fired, as PSG lost to Maccabi in the Cup Winners' Cup. And in general, the beginning of the season was extremely unsuccessful. So Alain had to return to Toulouse. But not for long - for 9 months.

Then, since 2001, the Frenchman led a Moroccan football club from Rabat called FAR (Forces Armées Royales). But Alain led this team to success. After all, it was under his leadership that FAR won the Throne Cup in the 2002/03 season.

Then the Frenchman was invited to lead the Georgian national team. He agreed, but, without leading the team to any success before qualifying for the European Championship, he decided to leave the country, terminating the contract. So then for four years Giresse coached the Gabon national team.

Recent years
