Subbotniks never happen too much! This is such a necessary thing - both for nature, and for a particular locality, and for each of us. By tradition, as soon as the snow melts, pupils, students, employees of various organizations voluntarily and forcibly come out to fight with garbage. What is this?

What is so special about the environmental clean-up "Green Russia"? Firstly, the number of participants - all of Russia, from Salekhard to Kaliningrad, takes part in this project. Secondly, the timing. If we are used to expecting a subbotnik in the spring, then the Green Russia event takes place in the fall. These are all Saturdays in September. The third feature is voluntariness. You can invite friends, colleagues, relatives with you. But that depressing "obligation" is not here.

And, finally, the most pleasant, fourth feature -of course, awards and prizes. Subbotnik "Green Russia" is a modern and fashionable action. Participants share their impressions of participation in social networks, attach photos and videos of their own achievements. And on the basis of this, the organizers select the winner, who is awarded the "Ecological Oscar" itself.

Besides this lucky winner, other laureates will be chosen who will not be left without prizes at the main award ceremony in December. In particular, the following contests were organized:

In the current 2017, the action started for the fifth time. Millions of citizens took to the streets on September Saturdays to tidy up the local area, remove the garbage that was eyesore, and plant trees and shrubs. In a word, to make this world even a little bit better.

"Green Russia" - what is it?

Surely you want to know a little about the organizer of the subbotnik - "Green Russia". This is an all-Russian public environmental movement, which was organized by caring participants in the first action held in August 2013. Note that she has amassed around 2.6 million followers.
