For all young men who have reached the age of majority, spring is associated with the phrase "spring call". What these words mean for themselves, their parents and girls, only those who have experienced it themselves can say. But every young man in good he alth should go through this school of life.
Army is a man's business
For many years, it was this call that was the main one in recruiting military personnel into the ranks of our valiant army. For some time now, this has ceased to be considered a worthy occupation. The young men tried in any way to get away from fulfilling their duty to the Motherland. And now there is often a call to ignore the concept of duty to the Fatherland. But here comes the spring draft into the army, and everyone who wanted it or didn’t want it, but came up in age and he alth, goes to serve Russia. And no persuasion from relatives and friends to ignore the agenda should stop young men who have reached the age of majority from paying their debt to the country.
Law governing conscription
In the Constitution of the Russian Federation there is Article 59, inwhich clearly spells out the duty of a citizen of the Russian Federation to defend their homeland. The remaining acts are regulated by federal laws, among which there is the Federal Law "On military duty and military service." It clearly states on what basis they are drafted into the army. If a person is a citizen of the Russian Federation, this is already a sufficient basis for conscription into the army. Citizenship is assigned to a person by birthright in a given state or by circumstances that brought a citizen of another country to permanent residence in our state. If citizenship is obtained, but military service has not been completed in any of the states, then the citizen falls under the general grounds for conscription into the army.
Age and categories of recruits
So, following the law, all citizens from 18 to 27 years old who have not previously been drafted into the Russian army should be considered conscripts. If there are obstacles for which a young man cannot go to serve directly in the army, he must report this to the military commissariat. The reasons may be as follows:
- unfit for service due to he alth reasons;
- is the son or brother of a person who died in the line of military duty;
- has a degree;
- is under investigation, in prison, or has an outstanding court debt;
- has already served in the Russian Federation or another state.
There are reasons for deferment from the army, which are also spelled out in the law. This is:
- if the conscript is temporarily unfit for military service;
- is a single father;
- married with two or more children;
- is the father of a disabled child under 3;
- cares for immediate sick relatives who have no other caregivers;
- enlisted in organizations equivalent to the army;
- has a child and a pregnant wife over 26 weeks pregnant;
- elected MP on a permanent basis;
- is a candidate for elective office.
Also, everyone who is studying full-time in educational institutions will also receive a deferment.
How is the spring call different?
What are the terms and how do they differ? The terms of the spring conscription are two weeks shorter than the autumn ones. It starts on April 1st and ends on July 15th. And the autumn call begins on October 1 and ends on December 31. However, there are exceptions. If the conscript lives in the Far North or works as a teacher in a general education institution, then for them the spring conscription begins on May 1. But it ends the same way as everyone else, that is, July 15.
Who hits?
Citizens who have reached 18 years of age during this period fall into it. Or those whose temporary deferrals have ended in these terms, and the citizen has not yet reached the age of 27. As a rule, these are deferrals due to full-time studies, expiration of terms of work in electoral office, children reaching a certain age, or death of close relatives under guardianship. If the reasons for the delay occurred immediately after reachinga citizen of 27 years of age, then he is no longer drafted into the army.
Where does it begin?
When does the spring call start? It begins from the moment a citizen begins to pass a medical commission. The examination should be carried out by professional doctors who can identify diseases or their possible simulation. If there is any doubt, the examination can be transferred from an outpatient to an inpatient in a conventional medical facility in the presence of somatic abnormalities or to a psychiatric clinic if mental illness is suspected. Then, if a medical examination is passed and, based on its results, the commission decides on suitability for military service, the citizen is obliged to appear at the military commissariat at the specified time to leave for the place of service. Distribution by type of troops and units can take place at the distribution point.
All medical examinations must meet the spring draft deadline.
In the army from school
Not so long ago, mothers of conscripts were worried that their children would end up in the army without completing secondary education, without even getting a chance to enter a university. And although there were classes in the army that replaced school ones, and exams were also held, it is still worth considering that it is one thing when a child is focused on studying and the upcoming exam, and quite another if classes are held in between intense military exercises. Both the quality of the school curriculum and military training suffered from such experiments.
Currentlythis problem does not exist. If a young man comes of age during the spring draft, then he automatically receives a deferment until the end of training. If the results of the Unified State Examination of a potential recruit were more than satisfactory, then he receives an additional deferment so that he has the opportunity to enter the chosen higher educational institution. When entering a full-time university, the recruit again receives a deferral for the duration of training. If he decides to continue his studies further, that is, in a magistracy or graduate school, he may also be subject to a deferral, but only if he again enters the full-time department. If he does not enter the university, then he goes to the service during the autumn draft. The same happens when you drop out of any full-time course.
Responsibility for failure to appear at the draft board
Until now, from time to time, the question is raised as to whether it is worth going to the military commissariat, if the deadlines for the spring draft into the army have passed, it was your call, but the summons was not received. Is it worth it to visit the draft board and ask if they forgot about you? The answer is simple. If the summons has not been served, then it is not worth going specifically for it. Most likely, the deadlines were postponed to the autumn draft. If you specifically hide from serving the subpoena, then you risk falling into the category of draft dodgers, and in our time this is prosecuted by law.
If you don't want problems with the law, it's better to get a summons, come to the draft board, explain why you don't want to serveFatherland. In some cases, if your religious or personal beliefs do not allow you to serve in the military, you may be offered an alternative service. In terms of time, it is no different from the military. But this is really a worthy way out of a situation that can lead to problems with the law. To serve the Fatherland, whose citizen you are, is not only a necessary and honorable thing, but also important for the development of a real masculine character.
