Sevidov Anton Olegovich is a Russian composer, singer and DJ from Belarus. Creator of such electropop groups as Tesla Boy and Neonavt. In 2017, the premiere of the production "The Sea of Trees" took place on the stage of the Gogol Center, for which Sevidov not only wrote the musical accompaniment, but also played the Ninja of Fate in it. His debut solo album is scheduled for release in autumn 2018.

Early years

The musician was born in Minsk. Today Anton Sevidov is 38 years old. Since his uncle is the football player Yu. A. Sevidov, and his grandfather is the coach A. A. Sevidov, as a child he went in for sports at the Dynamo school. But soon Anton was invited to join the Vesnyanka choir. A year later, his parents advised him to focus on one activity, and he chose music.

At the age of 9, the boy became a student of the experimental department of the music school. V. V. Stasov, a feature of which was the study of rock and jazz. At that time, he first became interested in synthesizers and composing. Anton received his education at the State College of Variety and Jazz Art. After the death of his father, Sevidov began DJing, performing in restaurants and making arrangements for artists in order to provide for his family. In 1998 he became a student of the RAM. Gnesins (workshop of I. M. Bril), but soon dropped out of school.

Tesla Boy

The band's name appeared thanks to one of Sevidov's friends Anton, who found a comic connection between Nikola Tesla, the transformer box, which was located above the musician's apartment, and his work. The first songs of the group were called Electric Lady and Fire. In 2009, the band played their debut outdoor concert at the Mio Club. Soon the band presented the mini-album of the same name, recorded together with the British label Mullet. The band's songs were often heard on BBC radio stations.

In 2010, Tesla Boy recorded the Modern Thrills album, the tracks of which were first played at the Strelka club. Then the team led by Anton Sevidov performed in Barcelona, at the Insomnia (Norway), EXIT (Serbia) and Afisha Picnic festivals. Compositions Fire and Spirit of the Night got into the rotation of the Russian-American radio Maximum.

In 2011 the band went on tour in Finland and Sweden. The song In Your Eyes was released by the French studio Kitsuné. At the same time, Tesla Boy performed as the opening act for the British band Hurts in Russia. In 2012, the musicians attended the Full Moon Festival, which takes place in New York. York. In addition, the band presented the tracks Fantasy and Split and their videos.

In 2013 the premiere of The Universe Made Of Darkness compilation took place, after which Tesla Boy performed in Russia, Ukraine, Mexico and the USA. Later, the band organized a tour in their homeland, which also went with the Australian band Cut Copy.

In 2015, the musicians almost completely recorded a new album, but Anton Sevidov did not release it, deciding to radically change the sound of future songs. Soon the single Nothing was released, after which Tesla Boy went on a short tour of the United States (Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Portland).

In 2016, the group performed at the Gogol Center with a new program. In the summer, the musicians released the mini-album Moses, which includes five tracks. In addition, 2016 was marked by the premiere of music videos for Nothing and Circles.

Other achievements in music

At the age of 12, Anton Sevidov managed to become a student of the famous jazz performer M. Okun. In the TV show "Morning Star" he made it to the final thanks to his performances with songs by Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. In 1997, Sevidov became the winner of the Crystal Note contest and received $10,000. Anton invested the money in musical equipment.

For about four years, Sevidov was a member of the ensemble led by A. Gerasimov. In 2001, the musician recorded keyboard parts in the compositions of the album "25 Frame" by the Spleen group. At the same time, he collaborated with BI-2 in work onmaking remixes. In 2002, Sevidov became the leader of the Neonavt group, a feature of which should be called guitar, not electronic music. Then the musician recorded the song "My Tear", which he dedicated to his mother and the feelings of her death.

In 2004, the Neonavt group signed a contract with Universal Music (Russia) and started working on new songs in Berlin. The label refused to release the "Breathe Me" compilation due to a change in management. In the end, the leader of "Neonaut" published the tracks on the Internet, and the group ended their concert activity.

Private life

Sevidov Anton was in a relationship with model and DJ Malygina Daria. In 2012, the couple moved in together, but soon broke up. Since 2015, the musician's lover has been the Russian film and theater actress Revenko Alexandra. The couple met at the theater after a performance in which the actress played.
