The first beauty contest in Moscow

However, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, changes came. And the competition, like many TV programs, suddenly disappeared from the eyes of viewers. Onlyin 1993, it was decided to revive the glorious tradition of choosing the beauty of the capital. And although the name has changed somewhat, the essence of the competition has remained untouched. In January 1994, the first, after a short absence, Miss Moscow contest was held. The prize, which was promised to the winner, was the Moskvich car. By the standards of the mid-90s, such a gift was considered very presentable. The jury of the first competition was made up of the famous fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin, the president of the beauty contest in Poland and other prominent people.

After the publication of the announcement of the recruitment of models, more than 2000 girls came to the casting of the competition. The competition aroused great interest not only among Muscovites, but also among residents of the Moscow region.

Ekaterina Shidlovskaya, the daughter of a diplomat, became the beauty of Moscow. The girl at that time was only 17 years old.

The first winner of the "Moscow Beauty" contest

In 1988, at the competition "Moscow beauty" or in other words "Miss Moscow", Masha Kalinina won first place. Thus, going down in history as the very first winner of the capital's beauty contest.

Today, the model lives in the United States, where she moved many years ago. Requirements for participants

As in any other kind of competition, there are special requirements for participants in a beauty contest. An interesting fact is that the first Miss Moscow contests were held after a six-month training session for girls. This included choreography, acting, pool visits, and catwalk rehearsals.

In order for a girl to at least be considered as a potential participant, she must have the cherished parameters of 90-60-90 and be at least 1.7 m tall. Also, attention is paid to the face. The facial features of the girls may vary, but in general they should be of the correct form. Classics of the genre: big eyes, small nose, full lips and high cheekbones.

Age of participants from 15 to 25 years. To many, this point seemed not quite objective, because the difference between young girls of 15 years old and adult girls of 25 is colossal. According to some critics, it was necessary to increase the age of the participants at least from 18 years old. Given this fact, the organizers of the contest decided to make changes and add a special title "Young Miss Moscow".

Besides the main title, there are many sub titles in the contest. For example, such as "Vice-Miss 1", "Vice-Miss 2", "Miss Charm", etc. In total, to date, the competition includesabout twenty titles.

One of the participants in the contest "Miss Moscow-2012" became a popular participant in the television project "Dom-2" Marina Afrikantova. A pretty blonde came to the project 4 years ago and really liked the TV guys.
