Trotting horses can be used both in equestrian sport and for crossbreeding with working breeds in order to improve their endurance and speed.

Heavy group is designed to work in the agricultural industry and is used to transportcargo. Typical representatives of this type are Russian and Soviet heavy trucks, as well as many other breeds that are grown on the territory of our state.

Transitional group of breeds

Species of horses belonging to this category: Budennovskaya, Donskaya, Kabardian, etc. The peculiarity of this group is the universality of animals. They can be used with equal success both in various sports competitions and in the household. Horses of this species are raised both in stables and in pasture conditions.

Let's characterize some specific breeds of the transitional group. The Don horse is a strong and hardy animal that was bred on the territory of the Rostov region in the 18th century by local Cossacks. This suit has been crossed with oriental horses for a long time, which made it possible to breed a tall and beautiful breed. Don horses are mainly used for equestrian sports and teaching horseback riding to children.

This group is characterized by a huge variety of breeds. Types of horses belonging to this category: Yakut, Vyatka, Altai, Transbaikal and many others. All sorts of crosses with riding and other types of breeds did not bring the desired results, since the characteristics of the Yakut horses could not be improved. To date, all attempts to breed rocks synthesized with them have ceased.

Draft horses

Man has always been particularly interested in the types of horses that can be actively used in economic activities. It was for this that at the beginning of the 20th century a special breed was bred - the Russian heavy truck. Representatives of this species are distinguished by incredible endurance and power with a relatively small growth, not exceeding 155 cm.

The development of this breed reached its peak during the Soviet era, when breeders managed to get a heavy truck with a higher height and carrying capacity. So, the record result was set by a horse named Lot, who managed to take out a weight equal to 23 tons.

It should be noted that heavy trucks are used on the farm not only for transporting goods. Another important characteristic is high performance in milk production.

Forestbreed type

The main representative of this species is the Vyatka horse. Its habitat is the Komi Republic, as well as the Kirov region. Her ancestor was a kind of wild horse that was crossed with one of the local Finnish breeds.

The main advantages of the Vyatka breed include good endurance, as well as a productive trot, which allows the use of horses of this type both for agricultural work and for equestrian sports and tourism.
