About a year ago, and even earlier, there was talk that a civil war in Ukraine was inevitable. The government is weak, and the people, brought to an extreme point, are angry and aggressive. And, as you know, angry people are capable of much.

The war in Ukraine has begun. For independence, with power, for freedom. This is not a call to go out into the streets and perform military operations, there is no extremism here, only facts. Why did the war start in Ukraine? Some people think that it all started with the notorious Euromaidan - when people simply stood on the square, divided into two parts, thereby showing their agreement or disagreement with the decision to join the European Union. According to official data, it all started on November 21, 2013, and ended at the end of February next year with a change in state power. But this is just recorded information. The coup d'etat was only the beginning of a multimillion-dollar riot and protest. Many people are depressed because of the arbitrariness reigning in the country. Naturally, they show their protest. Some are active, othersreconsider their own views, others discuss politics in the kitchen, and many leave the country altogether, not wanting to live where people die. The authorities say that everything is under control, everything is in order! And the country is on the edge of the abyss.

Disinformation

People realized that the war in Ukraine had begun… And they realized it when the first victims began to appear. The country is in mourning. Gradually, the situation from Kyiv began to spread to other cities of Ukraine. And then touched the Crimea. It should be noted that the information war in Ukraine began even earlier than the civil one. Newspapers, online publications, news agencies, television - all the media were concerned with only one topic - the revolution. By the way, if until February this issue worried the CIS countries, then it covered the whole world. Some newspapers said one thing, others said something completely different - people simply did not know who to believe. Many did not understand what was happening, but everyone was aware that they were witnessing events that would undoubtedly go down in history.

Crimea

The situation escalated to the limit when Crimea interfered in all this. Something unimaginable began to happen on the peninsula. There were rumors that Crimea could become part of the Russian Federation. And then a new round of events began. Some were against, some were for. On March 16, a referendum was held, which raised the question of which state Crimea would continue to exist in? As part ofRussian Federation or Ukraine? It was a very important day not only for the Crimeans, but for the whole of Ukraine, as well as Russia. Everyone knows how the referendum ended. Crimea went to Russia, the state from which it was “torn off” 23 years ago. And Sevastopol - the city-hero - received a special status, like Moscow and St. Petersburg. Some people rejoiced, others wiped away tears. There is no trace of Ukrainian symbols left - now Russian tricolors flutter on the buildings. March 2014 will definitely go down in history. At the moment, adaptation is taking place in Crimea - the ruble is being introduced into trade, Russian banks are opening, Ukrainian ones, on the contrary, are closing, salaries, pensions and scholarships are being recalculated. Transport links are also being revised. For example, on May 1, the Sochi-1 and Sochi-2 catamarans began sailing from Kerch to the port of Kavkaz and to Anapa.

Southeast

The 2014 war in Ukraine continues. Now what? The southeastern part of the country is holding anti-government mass actions. Donetsk proclaims itself an independent people's republic. Donbass became the center of opposition to those people who supported pro-Russian goals. In cities such as Kramatorsk and Slovyansk, protesters seized administrative buildings, and checkpoints were set up at the entrance. On April 13, the assault on Slavyansk was launched, but ended in failure, as the local self-defense repulsed it. Every day in the city there were more and more new events. The airfield was captured, the building of the SBU was taken under control, on April 16, military equipment drove intoKramatorsk, and on April 20 there was a skirmish near Slavyansk. Are these not signs that the war in Ukraine has begun? Due to the captures of internal troops, three people died, there were wounded, self-defense fighters died in skirmishes, and bodies with obvious signs of torture were found in the vicinity. The beginning of May - and the fighting is still going on. True, the separatists are already suffering losses, although earlier they had an undoubted advantage, and the Slavic militias are ready to repel the attacks of the military who arrived from Ukraine.

Odessa

Yes, the civil war in Ukraine has begun and is escalating. Recently, a tragedy happened in Odessa. On May 2, several dozen people died in the House of Trade Unions. Oleg Tsarev, who is the leader of a social movement called South-East, says that about a hundred people died in these clashes. According to official figures, the number of victims was 46 people, and more than two hundred were injured. It is worth recalling that on May 2 in Odessa, fans of Kharkov and Odessa football clubs clashed with Euromaidan activists. The bloody event is a direct confirmation that the current Kyiv authorities are betting on "intimidation and force." On this fact, a whole series of criminal proceedings was opened. An investigation into the organization of mass riots, deliberate killing of people, destruction of property, seizure of buildings, etc. has also begun.

When will it end?

People are desperate. Over the past few months, a very large number of refugees have left Ukraine. “When will this all end?” -the only question that worries now concerned Ukrainians. The country is in mourning - too many dead, too many innocent victims. I don’t want to realize this, but you can’t hide from the realities - there is a war and it is going on. And until the authorities resolve all issues, do not listen to the requests of the citizens of their country, everything will remain in place. But those in power, as you can see, postpone negotiations and decision-making on the back burner, and this is absolutely impossible to do in such a situation.
