Scandals
A number of scandals are connected with Igor Arkadyevich. One of them is the very system of business inheritance that is characteristic of the Russian elite. The middle class reacts sharply negatively to the redistribution of income among certain families. Growing children become heirs to large assets of their fathers. Among them is Rotenberg Igor Arkadyevich. The biography of him and his father is another confirmation of this. The loudest scandal in the life of the Rotenbergs in recent years was the discovery of the Platon system.
Plato is a new problem for truckers
If you go to the main page of the website of the "Platon" system, you can see that right under the emblem there is an inscription "toll collection system". From whom and under what conditions? The Platon system was created to collect fees from trucks weighing over twelve tons, of which there are about 2 million in the country, excluding transit.
Even in the fall of 2015, truckers began to actively demandcancellation of Plato. Roads were blocked, including those at the entrance to the capital. The main reasons for this development were not so much the introduction of a toll system, but two facts:
- Fare was too high according to many drivers.
- Contrary to the current legislation, Igor Rotenberg's company was appointed as the operator of the system. At the same time, judging by the newly discovered circumstances and documents, no competition was held.
The Rotenbergs have been criticized. The conflict was temporarily suspended after Vladimir Putin announced at his annual press conference that the tariff should be reduced. Until December 31, 2018, the ratio will remain at 0.82. However, the protesters indicated that their actions would continue.
Igor Rotenberg did not comment on the situation in any way, and the presidential press secretary denied the information that it was the friendship of the head of state and the businessman's father that helped his company conclude such a lucrative contract.
