Moscow region, where Noginsk is located, is the second most populous region in Russia. The city is located 37 kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road on the banks of the Klyazma River, which flows into the Oka.

The city of Noginsk is located 51 kilometers east of the center of Moscow. As for physical geography, the area where the city of Noginsk is located belongs to the Meshchera Lowland - a geographical region in the center of the East European Plain. The lowland is named after the Meshchera tribe that once inhabited the area.

Electric trains from Noginsk depart frequently to the Kursk railway station in Moscow. The usual travel time is 1 hour 40 minutes, but once a day there is an express train that takes only 1 hour 10 minutes to Moscow.
Culture and entertainment in the city
The Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater with a permanent troupe operates in Noginsk. The building was renovated in 2010. There are also commercial cinemas and sports facilities, an artist's house, two museums and a youth theatre.
One of the four parks, located on the banks of the Chernogolovsky pond, has a boat station and a skateboarding and roller skating area. In winter, a skating rink is arranged in the park. Volkhonka Dendrological Park, where you can get acquainted with the local vegetation, deserves special mention.
