In 1931, working people began to settle in the Far East in the floodplain of the Iman River: builders of the timber industry and logging companies. So the village Stroyka appeared. In 1957, the settlement was renamed Roschino in honor of the hero of the Civil War, who was shot in 1919.
Geography
The village of Roshchino, Krasnoarmeisky district, Primorsky Krai, today is equated with the territories of the Far North. It stands on the left bank of Bolshaya Ussurka, a river that used to be called Iman. The village is located 115 kilometers above the mouth, at the place where Bolshaya Ussurka flows into the Ussuri River, a major tributary of the Amur.
Roshchino's satellite is the village of Boguslavets, adjacent to it from the west. The distance to Novopokrovka, the district center, is 31 kilometers. To the north from Roshchino there is a motor road to the villages of Kedrovka, Vostretsovo, Imperceptible, Deep. In the southeast of the settlement are the villages of Dalniy Kut, Krutoy Yar and Timokhov Klyuch. Opposite Roshchino, on the right bank of the Bolshaya Ussurka, is the village of Vostretsovo.
Pre-war and military history
Like many taiga settlements of the North, Roshchino of Primorsky Krai comes from a timber industry enterprise. The first school appeared here in 1938 and at about the same time the airfield began to be built. It was erected by prisoners by hand, stones and earth were dragged by wheelbarrows. They lived in tents and built two houses for the pilots. And then the war began.
Despite the fact that the strongest and strongest taiga residents went to the front, the Khanikhez timber industry enterprise continued to work and regularly supplied wood for the needs of the defense industry and the army.
After the war
At the end of the Second World War, it was necessary to restore the national economy, and the volume of procurement increased rapidly. Petrol saws replaced hand saws, bulldozers and mechanical loaders began to be used. In August 1948, the Sinepad construction site began to work. There were road crews that built a canteen, a hospital and a post office, as well as residential buildings along Shkolnaya, Leninskaya and Oktyabrskaya streets.
In order to expand the resource base of the rapidly developing mining industry and systematically explore the territory of the north of Primorye for ore deposits, a geological exploration expedition was formed in the Iman floodplain in 1952, and the village of Stroyka became its center.
Development of Roshchino
The appearance of geologists in the village gave a new impetus to the development of infrastructure and economy. Largely thanks to the expedition, Roshchino, Krasnoarmeisky district of Primorsky Krai, began to grow and change its appearance.
In 1962, the airport building was erected, in 1965, the Yubileiny club was built on the site of the barracks. With the help of the PMK, brick buildings were erected for the supply department and offices of household plots, a two-story store, and a school. In 1965, wood processing workshops were built in the Roshchinsky forestry enterprise, which, without prejudice to the protection and restoration of the forest, began to produce pickets, shingles, parquet, rough furniture blanks, timber and boards.
Over time, a new geological ORS appeared in the village of Roshchino, Primorsky Krai. By distribution, graduates of prestigious technical schools and universities from all over the USSR began to come here. Many stayed and started families.
Currently
