A famous Soviet hockey player was born on April 23, 1950 in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk. Since childhood, Vladimir was fond of hockey and was a pupil of the local club "Olympia", in which he began his playing career. For all the time he repeatedly played for various hockey clubs and participated in the USSR Higher Hockey League. In his first Major League of the USSR Championship, he played for the Saratov team.
