The life of Maryana Igorevna Kovaleva began in 1959. In the family of Igor Vladimirovich and Inna Nikolaevna, a girl was born on March 5. There is practically no information about her childhood and young years. It is known that in 1999 she graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University in St. Petersburg. At that time, she was already 40 years old.

Private life

When the girl was 19 years old, she married Vladimir Rodovansky. Maryana Tsoi bore this surname in her youth. She calls her first marriage stupidity. She just wanted a free relationship and a banal cohabitation, but her parents could not allow this, and therefore she had to formalize everything. Viktor Tsoi was her second husband. There was nothing interesting or unusual in their familiarity - a banal acquaintance at a friend's birthday. At the time of the meeting, she was 23, and Victor was only 19 years old.

They signed much later, after 3 years. There was no traditional wedding, because there was nothing to do it. In a white jacket and a light striped skirt in 1985, the bride stepped down the aisle. And then life in a communal room andeternal lack of money, even for food. It is worth saying that many informals came to their wedding to congratulate the newlyweds.

In the same year, a son was born in the Tsoev family. For a whole month and a half, they could not agree on what name to call him. I wanted to choose an option that would be in harmony with an unusual surname. After regular conversations on this topic, the wife threatened that she would register him as Christopher if the father did not agree to the name Alexander. That's what they decided.

Short-lived family relationships

Maryana's first marriage was short-lived, and she decided so herself. The second marriage was also short-lived, but not by her will. Three years before his death, Victor left her for another woman, but before that, a few more years. In the meantime, the couple lives in the present, they walk along the streets of Leningrad, despite the season, huddle in their little room, go to the beach in the summer, and there they behave like carefree teenagers: swim naked, drink and sing, ride a hare in transport.

On one of these trips to the Crimea, they were discovered by student guides, but after recognizing the young Tsoi, who was being listened to in the basements, they did not fine him. At that time, Victor sang all the way so that he lost his voice and upon arrival in the Crimea he could no longer speak. “I see how the waves wash away the footprints in the sand” - this is just a song of that time. And although their money quickly ran out at sea, young informals did not consider this a problem, they handed over bottles in order to have a penny to meet their needs. They caught and fried fish, and spent their days like that. In 1987Victor was invited to shoot the film "ACCA", where he met Natalya Rozlogova, introduced her and Maryana. She understood everything and did not make scandals, in 1989 they ended their relationship.

Close friends

It rarely happens, but they remained friends. They didn’t get divorced, she was Tsoi’s wife to the end. Maryana's biography is constantly intertwined with his biography. After Victor left the family, he often visited them when he was free from work, always devoted time to his son and took him with him. He talked about the fact that they have a son, which means that they will forever remain a family.

And again in a relationship

Maryana Tsoi had to go through a lot. The biography points to many difficult moments. Three years later, as Victor left the family, he died in a car accident. Mariana built her relationship with another person. She lived in a civil marriage with Ricochet, in the last years of her life she acted as his producer. She also produced A. Zaslavsky, S. Eglazin and was engaged in the installation of the monument to Tsoi on the Arbat.

Last years of life

In all this tumultuous activity, Mariana was stricken with cancer, she did not even want to utter this word and begged nowhere and never to mention it. She believed that she could handle it and did not want to be pitied. But on June 27, 2005, she was gone. She died in her apartment in St. Petersburg and was buried near the place where Viktor Tsoi was buried. Maryana was seen off on her last journey by relatives and ex-musicians of Kino. In the same year, Maryana's father also died,mother outlived her daughter by 12 years and died in 2017.

Tough Trials

When Mariana was diagnosed, she made every effort to overcome the disease. Seven years before his death, he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor and urgently underwent an operation to remove the tumor on his chest, but soon metastases spread throughout the body. She turned to the best specialists in this field and spent months in expensive clinics. But at some stage, the doctors abandoned it, saying that everything was already useless. In the last months of her life, Maryana Tsoi looked terrible, there was no photo of this time, the woman was categorically against the dissemination of this information in the press. One of her hands was the same as the body in volume, she could not lift it. It was a painful death from cancer that dragged on for 6 years. A number of operations and radiations were carried out, but this did not give results.

When the days are numbered

Realizing that the results of treatment are not favorable, Maryana Tsoi reconciled with the musicians of the Kino group, because until that time there had been constant litigation for copyrights on the melodies and arrangements of Tsoi's songs. The second half of the rights were with Victor's parents. Before her death, Maryana managed to transfer the rights to Tsoi's legacy to her son. So the long-term quarrel was ended, and Alexander will receive 50% of roy alties, the rest falls on the former performers of the Kino group.

The people close to her last days, they say that she knew the day of her death, she whispered that she had 3 days left, andtook to her bed. She spent the last 3 days in a coma, her arms and legs were swollen. Mom Inna Nikolaevna, son Sasha and husband were with her all the time.

For the mother it was the hardest loss, she did not give her daughter's body to the morgue for three days, she cried all the time and did not talk to anyone. All funeral matters were decided by the son.

Maryana really did not want her son to follow in his father's footsteps, and did everything possible to prevent this. Therefore, he went to Moscow, learned English, was engaged in textile design, worked as a system programmer. At the age of five, he lost his father, and at 20 he lost his mother. There is information that in recent years he plays the bass guitar and tries to write music.

Maryana did not wait for the time when the monument to Tsoi was opened.

On the last journey

On June 29, at the Theological Cemetery, Maryana was taken on her last journey. The Eninsky rock club took over the funeral, there were more than 300 people at the funeral. There were many public figures among those present. There are always flowers and candles on a woman's grave, fans of the Kino group revere her no less than Viktor.

Interesting life stories

Once Maryana was asked where she got such a rare name from? She said that her parents were tall, and they understood that they could not have a daughter of small stature, and therefore they called her by that name. Of course, it is difficult to grasp the connection between the name and high growth, but this was her answer.

Also, Maryana said that neither she nor Tsoi had ever had friends, but what was was "an endless party". In her understandingfriendship is a kind of self-sacrifice, like love, but she does not have such feelings for anyone.

When she was asked why she and Victor broke up, she replied that he fell in love with another. And for her it was completely surprising and incomprehensible. The rival was very balanced and restrained, and Maryana, like a barrel of gunpowder, impulsive and explosive.
