One of the most diverse minerals that take on various images is the familiar feldspar. It is part of granite, and some of its processed varieties are considered semi-precious stones: labrador, "moon" stone, amazonite. A non-specialist will never attribute its various types to the same mineral - it is so many-sided. It has a fairly significant hardness - 6 on the Mohs scale.

Feldspar has long been used by people. For example, the secret of the finest and highest quality Chinese porcelain lies precisely in the fact that it contains the aforementioned mineral. Now it is used in the production of glass and ceramics - why reinvent the wheel? Well, more or less decorative varieties of it are used for various kinds of decorations.

The mineral is very common: up to 50% of the earth's crust, one way or another - feldspar.

Decorative varieties of it are a little less common, but there are several large deposits in the world.

The mineral shungite consists of carbon and hydrogen. It's quite easy to mix it up with coal, but shungite doesn't burn. It is believed that this mineral has uniqueproperties, even now pyramids, spheres, medicinal pastes, massage devices and, of course, jewelry are made from it. In industry, it is used as a material for filters.

Shungite is credited with numerous medicinal properties. According to lithotherapists, thanks to its unique crystal lattice, it is able to purify water, cure asthma, allergies, burns, joint diseases. Many believe that it also has the ability to protect against computer radiation, so quite often in apartments you can see shungite pyramids next to computers. Who knows, maybe this is not devoid of rational grain. Only one large shungite deposit has been discovered in the world, and it is located in Karelia.

Iron pyrite, or pyrite, is a yellow mineral with a beautiful metallic sheen. During the so-called gold rush, it became a frequent prey for inexperienced miners, for which it was nicknamed "fool's gold". However,

Distinguishing pyrite from gold is quite easy - it cannot be scratched with a knife, but it scratches glass effortlessly.

The ancients attributed special properties to this mineral, they believed that the soul of fire was hidden in it, which was reflected in its name. This belief was confirmed by the ability of pyrite to strike sparks when colliding with a steel object. In modern lithotherapy, he takes pride of place. It is believed that this mineral normalizes and harmonizes all processes in the body. Pyrite is attributed the mostdifferent properties: from protecting a person from negative influences to pushing him to rather dubious acts.

The world of minerals is very interesting: the mysterious shungite, pyrite, which medieval alchemists tried in vain to turn into gold, feldspar, both ubiquitous and quite rare. How can you resist and not get carried away by mineralogy?
