Culture is a very abstract concept. But in communication and interaction, its level is determined quite objectively and quickly. It is obvious even to people of low culture, not to mention the demanding "high-flying birds." Do not confuse the concepts of "cultured person" and "intelligent person". All intellectuals are cultured, but not vice versa. Not everyone can be a creator of spiritual blessings. A cultured person is an expert in social interaction, and absolutely anyone can become one if they want to make an effort.

Keep nature in check

First of all, about the concept that formed the discussed characteristic of a person. Culture should not be understood in a narrow sense as education and upbringing. This is opposition to nature. That is, it is the ability brought up in a person to curb not the best sides of his nature. This is not hypocrisy, but self-discipline. A cultured person is not one who hides hatred behind ostentatious courtesy. This is the one who tries to replace bad feelings with his owndeep level. And if it doesn’t work, then at least limit yourself to coldish politeness. Of course, you can accuse cultured people of double-mindedness. But this is not entirely true, because this is not a change in the way of responding and a demonstration of something that does not exist, it is simply a softening of strong emotions and maximum care even for an unpleasant interlocutor.

The mind must work

A cultured person is someone who knows how to be interesting. To do this, people of high development read regularly and a lot, engage in self-education. They understand that not everyone is interested in talking about baby formula and new outfits, wrenches or development plans, so they have to expand the range of topics. Of course, this does not mean that a cultured person never discusses everyday and professional topics, being interested only in Bebel and Babel. It's just that in principle he is able to be interesting to different interlocutors. People of lower education are also good and comfortable with him. They can accurately determine which person is cultured and which is not. Such people, of course, feel the distance, but a cultured person will try to make it not so painful. As a result, such individuals become development guides and equal bright interlocutors to high-level people.

Empathy and understanding

From the previous description it is clear that a cultured person is not only intellect, but also special rules of communication. To be interesting and understandableexplain, you need to overcome the barrier of knowledge. This barrier means that it is rather difficult for a person with a large level of knowledge to distract himself from his system and help someone who knows little to understand. This requires empathy as the ability to sympathize and see the reaction. Subtle sensitivity is worked out with the help of a great communicative experience. Although the importance of natural talent cannot be ignored either.

There are more cultural people among representatives of some professions. There are especially many of them among good and experienced teachers and doctors, that is, people who, on duty, have to explain a lot. And to do it clearly, to take care of the interlocutor. The behavior of a cultured person is a cultivated habit. Therefore, everyone should strive for the ideal, it is achievable.
