History

At the next meeting in 2011, it was decided to extend the Zamoskvoretskaya line, due to which a new Khovrino (metro) station should appear in Moscow. When the opening of it will take place, then it was not yet decided exactly, since the date of completion of construction was postponed several times.

In 2013, the Moscow Land Commission approved the draft planning and provided for the commissioning of the station at the end of 2016. Initially, the metro was to be called "Dybenko Street", after the name of the street bordering the entrances to the subway. But due to numerous requests from Muscovites, the mayor of the capital decided that it would be the Khovrino station, named after the district of the same name where it is located.

Description

This new subway features a shallow two-span column design. The island platform willquite wide and equal to ten meters. Khovrino station should have a pair of vestibules with exits to underground pedestrian crossings and connected with escalator passages. In addition, it is planned to make an intercepting parking lot designed for more than a thousand cars in the new metro.

Walls, ceiling, and paved floor will be decorated with visual squares, which should form the components of the reinforced concrete frame. The Khovrino station, according to the plans of the architects, should have only light and brown shades in its design.

Location

The new metro will be located in the western part of Dybenko Street, where it intersects with the street. Zelenogradskaya near the houses with numbers 34 and 38. The Khovrino station is thus located just a few hundred meters from the Businovskaya interchange, which gives rise to Novaya Leningradka, and not far from the Moscow Ring Road.

It is planned that bus No. 400E will pass by the new metro, which currently runs between Zelenograd and the River Station.

Construction phase

Based on the foregoing, the new Moscow Khovrino station should radically change the logic of traffic and passengers. Its opening is scheduled for December this year. Residents of the northern districts of the capital, as well as the Moscow region, are looking forward to this event.

In order to speed up the construction process, hundreds of specialists and a large number of technicians work around the clock. Therefore, the metro, which belongs to the Zamoskvoretskaya branch, is gradually beginning to take on a finished look. At this stage of construction, vestibules and underground passages are already taking shape. It was planned to start the operation of the station earlier, but its opening was forced to be pushed back to the end of the year, as a change of contractors was carried out, which led to temporary delays and loss of time. Commissioning of the plant will take place in two stages. Thus, one lobby will be opened first, and then the second one.

In the place where this station is being built, an important transport and landing hub should also be organized. Another platform of the Oktyabrskaya railway will be built here, and the district will acquire new business and business centers.

The mayor's plenipotentiary also stressed that, in addition to the new metro, large-scale road construction, which Moscow needs so much, should also be launched in this area. The Khovrino station, together with the territory adjacent to it, will become an integral and updated part of the North-Eastern Expressway.
