Early years
Hungarian actress Mari Terechik was born in the village of Peli in the region of Heves County in northern Hungary on November 23, 1935. Her very first role was the role of Solveig in the production of "Peer Gynt".
In 1957, Terechik graduated from the Budapest Academy of Theater and Cinema. After graduation, the actress worked at the National Theatre. In 2000, Marie Terechik received the title of People's Actress of Hungary.
From 2002 to the present, the actress has been performing again at the Budapest National Theatre.

Terechik was married three times, her first marriage was never officially registered and was very short.
