For them, the musician remains a legend, the last hero of Russian rock, who appeared before the audience in the form of a loner in a black robe. Even his death is shrouded in a halo of mystery. The presence of a wife makes the image of a celebrity more earthly. In addition, everyone knows: for the past three years, Marianna Tsoi (photo presented in the article) was the wife of a rock star only nominally, his heart was given to a completely different woman.

Biography pages before fateful meeting

Few people know Marianne's maiden name. Born Kovaleva, she was born in 1959, on March 5. Marianna Tsoi's homeland and the city where she spent her whole life was St. Petersburg.

At the end of school, the girl was engaged in painting, her passion led her to the circus. By the age of 23, Marianne was already predicted to be a deputy head of the post. She was in charge of the staging workshops. The salary at that time was quite decent - 150rubles. This made the girl stand out from the bohemian environment, allowing her to buy expensive clothes.

Behind Marianne was already an unsuccessful marriage, concluded at the age of 19. After its collapse, she bore the surname Rodovanskaya.

First meeting

How did it happen that the girl began to bear a different surname - Tsoi? Marianna Igorevna in an interview said that she didn’t really want to go to her friend’s party in honor of his birthday. The fact is that on the same day she herself turned 23 years old. But something made the young woman respond to the invitation.

Among the guests were two novice rock musicians - A. Rybin and V. Tsoi. The second was only 19, but he seemed older. Laconic, Victor at first did not make the proper impression on his older girlfriend. When asked to leave a phone number, she casually sketched it on a sheet of lipstick.

Choi called, after which the couple began dating. At first, Victor was offended that he was younger and, moreover, poor. He even had to sew trousers himself, unlike a girlfriend with a position. The Kino group then performed at apartment houses, and the cost of a performance was an average of 15 rubles. Everything changed when the young woman heard the songs of her lover.

Legal marriage

At first, the couple had an exclusively platonic relationship. During walks, they wound kilometers and just talked. There was nowhere for them to meet. Occasionally, Mike Naumenko began to invite a couple to his apartment, and Boris Grebenshchikov invited them out of town. Lived in tents during the summerin Crimea.

Marianna recalls that she was waiting to get acquainted with Tsoi's work with fear. She was afraid to hear something ordinary and ordinary. But the songs of the musician shocked her. And after leaving the hospital, he proposed to his beloved. Their wedding took place two years after they met, in February 1984.

Birth of a son

And in August 1985, the couple had their first child. Viktor Tsoi and Marianna Tsoi became parents, but for a long time they could not find a name for the baby. They argued for a month and a half. The musician wanted the name to be in harmony with his last name, so his last sentence was Timur.

Marianna dreamed of naming the baby Alexander, so she had to decide on an ultimatum: "If not Sasha, then Christopher!" This decided the fate of the name of the joint son. Later, becoming a rock musician, the young man took the pseudonym Molchanov, not wanting to use the name of his legendary father for his career.

Now the heir to the rock legend is 33 years old, in 2017 he presented his mini-an album called "Support" and a solo project "Ronin". It is curious that he wrote the main song "Whisper" at the age of 18.

Parting

The birth of Alexander coincided with the rapid rise of Tsoi's career. The Kino group not only collected stadiums in the Soviet Union, but also successfully toured European countries and the USA. S. Solovyov invited the rock band to his film "Assa", which began filming in 1987.

Viktor Tsoi went to Moscow, where he had an affair with Natalya Razlogova, assistant director. He immediately confessed to Marianne, with whom they were connected by a common son. In the interview, she describes a common meeting in a restaurant, where both women first met and became acquainted. It happened in 1989.

Marianna is Tsoi's wife until his death, although for the last three years Tsoi has not parted with Natalya. The daughter of a diplomat, she was very reserved, while her legal wife had an explosive temper.

It was very painful for Marianne to be present at the joint meeting, but she did not show it. According to her, Victor did not want to get divorced because of the child. Until his last days, he participated in his upbringing and took him with him on that tragic trip to the B altic states, where a fatal car accident occurred.

Tsoi's death

In 1990, Marianne met her husband for the last time. He took his son to rest in the B altic states, and on August 15 the news came that a car accident had occurred in the Tukums region, as a result of which V. Tsoidied. Together with Natalya, they rented a house in the village, from where the musician went fishing in his Moskvich early in the morning.

Returning, he missed the turn and collided with the bus. To investigate a fatal accident, the traffic police demanded relatives, so Marianna Tsoi immediately went to the scene of the tragedy. The alleged version - the rocker fell asleep while driving. But relatives do not believe in it. He was too careful for that. Mother suggested that Choi was considering a new album. Only music could distract him from the road.

The official wife brought her husband's body to her hometown, where the rock legend was buried with honors at the Theological Cemetery.

Life after Tsoi's death

Marianna was involved in the production of the rock band "Kino". After the death of Tsoi, it turned out that she owns 50% of the income from the creative heritage of her ex-husband. With these funds, it was possible to live comfortably with her son, so the woman focused on self-development. She continued painting, translating, and by the age of 40 she graduated from St. Petersburg University, Faculty of Oriental Studies.

She has done a lot to perpetuate Tsoi's creative heritage. She became the organizer of a number of concerts dedicated to his memory, published several collections and a unique disc "KINOproby". On it, the rock star's songs are performed by his friends, popular musicians in the country.

Three and a half months before her death, the woman fell ill. She stayed at home, where her mother, son and common-law spouse looked after her. Only the last two days Marianne spent in a coma. Her death was a great loss for the rock community in St. Petersburg. It was she who took over the organization of her funeral. At the Bogoslovskoye cemetery on that day one could see the musicians of the DDT group, "Aquarium", "Kino" and others. The grave of Tsoi's wife is located near the place where her legal husband rests.

Interesting facts

Marianna Tsoi inspired several of the musician's songs. Today it is known for certain that compositions are dedicated to her: "When my girlfriendsick", "Music of the waves".
