- From the external environment to the management system. On the one hand, this is a flow of information of a regulatory nature, which is created by government agencies within the framework of the current legislation, and on the other hand, data containing information on market conditions created by suppliers, consumers and competitors.

- The flow directed from the management system to the external environment in the form of reporting information provided to government agencies, creditors, investors and consumers, as well as marketing information to a certain circle of consumers.

- The flow of information from the management system, directed to the object, has the form of regulatory, planning and administrative information in the implementation of business processes.

Enterprise information systems are guided by the tactical direction of management. This includes analysis, medium-term planning, and organization of work over several weeks. An example is the planning and analysis of supplies, the preparation of production programs. This class of tasks is characterized by the regulation of the formation of final documents and a specific algorithm for solving such tasks as a list of orders when forming a production program and determining the requirements for materials based on the required specialization.
