The Fantastic Four is one of the most popular comics created in the second half of the last century. Created by Marvel Comics writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.
The stories Stan and Jack came up with were completely new and different, which made them such an overwhelming success. Their superheroes did not hide their strength or dark sides from readers. Their adventures were one more unusual than the other - they continuously saved our world, to which someone constantly claimed their rights.
Franklin Richards, son of Susan Storm and Reed Richards
Susan and Reed are members of the same superhero team that was named the Fantastic Four. Deciding that their child should be a new generation of superhero Franklin Richards, Marvel Comics arranged the wedding of this couple, which allowed readers to take the attention of readers with dramatic details of their family life in the following issues of stories.
Sue and Reed got their unusual abilities during a forced flight into space, falling under the influence of cosmic radiation.
When Sue was expecting a baby, her body began to produce poison, and in order to save her wife fromfuture son, Reed traveled to the Negative Zone with two friends. There, they took possession of the Negative Energy Battery and used it to heal Susan.
The child survived and was given a double name: Franklin Benjamin - in honor of the grandfather and family friend.
Called Psi-Lord…
Franklin at different periods of his life had special nicknames: Avatar, Storyteller, Psi-Lord, Ego-Spawn, Richard Franklin. For example, how Franklin was known at the age of 14, from 24 to 26 he was a Psi-Lord, and after 35 he became an Avatar. At the same time, in his mature years, he became the owner of the appearance of Brad Pete.
In his teenage years, Franklin Richards looked like the most ordinary boy, blue-eyed and mischievous. But the realization of the unusual fate of his parents, the saviors of mankind, also shaped his character, forcing him to grow up much earlier than his peers.
Franklin's superpowers
Franklin Richards, strictly speaking, is not a man - he is a mutant (Psionic) with absolutely fantastic abilities. He blocked some of them so as not to harm his loved ones and the environment. But he uses them from time to time when other means to fight space monsters are exhausted.
He can endlessly manipulate reality, deforming the visible universe and creating new (pocket) universes, transferring people into them.
Can change the molecular structure of matter, turning matter into energy, and vice versa.
Possesses telepathic abilities: reads thoughts at any distance, creates illusions in the minds of others and manipulates people's behavior.
Able to create astral doubles that have all of its qualities; make powerful bioexplosions; move any objects with the power of thought; see prophetic dreams and much more.
Galactus Story
The main test of the Fantastic Four's strength was the appearance on Earth of a cosmic entity named Galactus.
Galactus was once a humanoid Galan and lived on a planet with a highly developed civilization. At that time, the Universe was just going through a period of compression, and there were no more living planets. Going on a research expedition, he wanted to find a way to save his home planet, but in vain.
He had a few other friends with him and suggested that they fly through the center of the shrinking universe to face a "beautiful death".
At the moment of the transition, the Consciousness of the Universe came into contact with him, warning that after the "Big Bang" he would be reborn as Galactus, the devourer of worlds.
Reed Richards vs. Galactus
Starting from planets devoid of intelligent life, Galactus gradually became promiscuous, drowning out remorse with the idea of his messianism.
This interplanetary wanderer was designed in such a way that in order to ensure its existence, it had to eat the energy of the planets. After his visit, the life of the planet dried up and was no longer restored, butGalactus continued his journey through the universe.
He was guided by the Silver Surfer, with the help of which the Four managed to persuade Galactus not to touch the Earth. He even promised to leave her neighborhood forever, but hunger forced him to return more than once.
The death and resurrection of Galactus
Galactus's appetite grew, and since he could satisfy him with exceptionally intelligent life, he was constantly drawn to Earth. And again, the superheroes had to stop him, resorting to the services of the same Surfer, who lured Galactus into a trap. Together with the Shi'ar race, the united group of superheroes was able to destroy the great devourer.
But it was just a respite before the next battle with the mighty Abracas, the hunter of Galactus. At first, he suggested that the Four unite in search of a superweapon - the Ultimate Nullifier. And when he was found, he took possession of it and began to threaten to destroy the universe.
And then Franklin Richards came into play, who, using his ability to change reality, brought Galactus back to life, since only he could take the Nullifier from Abracas. Everything went like clockwork, and the super-weapon returned to Reed Richards, and Abracas was killed.
The story ended with the fact that in the new reality, after using the Nullifier, all the worlds and the creatures that inhabited them, which were destroyed by Abracas, returned to life, as if Abracas had never existed. In addition, the mission of Galactus to contain the destructive activities of Abracas became clear.
Forced to be the destroyer of intelligent worlds, Galactus, as the most ancient being in the universe, feels his connection with its nature. By and large, he carries out a certain connection of times in it, trying to realize his mission more deeply. Oddly enough, Franklin Richards helps him in this. Against Galactus, he can put his unlimited possibilities - either reviving him, or annihilating him, arbitrarily changing reality.
Thanks to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, another superhero, Franklin Richards, was born. Comics with his participation survived a wave of popularity and again fell into the shadows. Perhaps now the screenwriters of Hollywood film studios will try to revive it. Let's wait and see!
