Victoria DiGiorgio Gotti is the ex-wife of mob boss and head of the Gambino crime family John Gotti, who died in 2002 of throat cancer.

Half Russian, half Italian, Victoria moved to America with her family in search of a better life. As you know, she met John Gotti in a bar in 1958. The mafia boss fell in love with a spectacular girl, and in 1962 they got married.

Despite the fact that Victoria DiGiorgio was married to one of the main crime bosses of the 60s, the family led a lower middle class lifestyle and adhered to traditional values. According to Vitoria, she loved her husband regardless of the nature of his work.

Early years

Victoria DiGiorgio's date of birth and age are unknown, but this strong woman has been a wall to her husband and five children.

According to one version, she was born to a Russian-Jewish mother and an Italian father; according to another, her father was an Italian Jew.

DiGiorgio grew up in Brooklyn and Queens in a dilapidated house. She was two years old when her parents divorced. It is also known that she inherited about a million dollars from her mother.

Quiet but straightforward woman Victoria DiGiorgio Gotti was a housewife for 42 years when she was married to crime boss John Gotti. Their first child, Angela Gotti, was born in 1961. And on March 6, 1962, John and Victoria got married.

The Gotti lived in a modest three-story house in Queens. They had four more children - Victoria, Frank, John and Peter.

In March 1980, 12-year-old Frank Gotti was riding his friend's bike and was hit and killed by a car. DiGiorgio became depressed and was on the verge of suicide. She was practically bedridden for a year after her tragic death.

Living a dangerous life

DiGiorgio knew that her husband was a criminal, but was caught off guard when her son John also chose this path. Family members were shocked to learn that he was arrested for gambling and extortion in 1998.

In 2002, John Gotti Sr. died in a prison hospital after losing his battle with throat cancer. He was 61 years old.

John Gotti Jr was in prison until December 2009 and was released.

Victoria DiGiorgio is anti-Trump

DiGiorgio is one of those who still stick to her beliefs. She still stands for what is right, and for her, Donald Trump is not.

When he ran for President of the United States, Victoria said she was votingfor Hillary Clinton and that Trump is "a smug spoiled rich guy".

Access Hollywood posted a conversation saying: Trump said he can do whatever he wants with women because he is rich and famous. DiGiorgio then began to speak very loudly about her thoughts in relation to him. She later wrote to her longtime pen-friend in The Daily Beast:

I was married to gangster 1 and would slit his throat if he said such a dirty thing to me.

Nevertheless, Trump won the election and became President of the United States.
