In European countries, it is customary for young people to take a short break after graduating from college in order to understand themselves, decide on their future and plans for life. Prince William was no exception.
For a year free from studies, the son of the Prince of Wales made more than one trip, including for charitable purposes. Following the example of his mother, he traveled to Africa and Latin America. In addition, William worked on a dairy farm for a while.
After graduating from university, for some time he acted as an official at celebrations and events taking place in the cities of England.
However, the traditions of the ancestors haunted the prince, and he entered the militarySandhurst Academy. In 2006, William was promoted to lieutenant and joined the Royal Cavalry. Despite this, the career of a pilot attracted the prince most of all, and he graduated in 2009 from the Royal Air Force flying school. Until recently, the prince served as a captain as a helicopter pilot.
Family
William met his future wife while still a student at St. Andrews University. Their relationship could not be called cloudless, as the couple diverged several times. However, as it turned out later, these separations were just a test of their feelings.
Despite all sorts of rumors and troubles, ten years later, Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to get married. The news of the engagement of the chief prince of Europe spread in an instant.
The wedding took place in April 2011 at Westminster Abbey. The whole world watched live the wonderful ceremony of joining two loving hearts. After marriage, Prince William and Kate Middleton began to bear the title of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
