Kantemirovskaya Panzer Division No. 4

The formation of this division began in 1942. Under the city of Voronezh, a tank combat unit (17th Corps) was created. The brigade distinguished itself in the battles near Stalingrad and during the liberation of the Don regions in the northern part. Subsequently, the corps was renamed the 4th Guards Tank Division. After the legendary liberation of Kantemirovka, it began to be named after this settlement.
