One of the city's memorial graveyards, the Perlovskoye Cemetery, is located in the North-Eastern District of Moscow. Its area is 19 hectares, including 8 large plots. Supervises the necropolis of the State Unitary Enterprise "Ritual".
History
The history of the cemetery began in 1932, when on the banks of the Dzhamgarovsky pond they began to bury the dead residents from the nearby villages - Taininsky and Perlovsky. After some time, a small area for Jewish burials was immediately allocated.
When old cemeteries were demolished in the city center in Soviet times, the Moscow authorities gave permission to transfer Jewish burials to the churchyard. Over the years, the cemetery has grown and turned completely into a Jewish one, for which three of the eight existing sites are now allocated.
A large number of tombstones and slabs with six-pointed stars and inscriptions in Hebrew have been preserved in the cemetery. Some of the monuments are real works of art, and, most likely, they were transported from the ancient Moscow cemeteries.
But gradually Orthodox crosses began to appear on the churchyard. At the mainAt the entrance, visitors are greeted by the richest and most luxurious burials, entire stone pavilions with large statues and bizarre decor.
In 1978, the Perlovsky churchyard became one of the cemeteries of the city of Moscow.
Perlovskoe cemetery today
Currently, due to lack of land, the necropolis is closed for new burials in coffins. Only a related subburial is available at the cemetery, which are free of charge, and the burial of an urn with ashes in a columbarium.
There is an opportunity to purchase a site for a family burial at the auction of the Department of Services of the Government of Moscow.
Near the churchyard for the religious needs of visitors to the Perlovsky cemetery, a small chapel was built in honor of the righteous Joachim and Anna. Funeral services and memorial services are held there.
The territory of the necropolis is in a well-maintained condition and equipped with everything necessary for the convenience of visitors. The administration provides for rent special equipment for the care of the graves, and there is also a point where you can get water, garbage bags and sand.
All passages to the graves are paved, and the central paths are paved, which allows you to visit the graves even in bad weather.
There are very few old and destroyed slabs left, they are gradually being restored or replaced with new monuments.
To relax on the alleys there are benches where you can sit in silence. The churchyard has many plantations of trees and shrubs. Landscaping completed near the columbariumterritory, benches and urns have been placed. There is ample parking and a flower shop next to the cemetery.
Burials
Not far from the entrance is a war memorial dedicated to the soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War.
Unfortunately, some of the graves were irretrievably lost. So, to the right of the entrance is a monument to cadet Kudelkin, who died in 1943, but his burial is not there. It is known that he was buried here, but where exactly is unknown.
The grave of policeman M. Kolpakov, who heroically died in the line of duty in 1940, was lost somewhere on the first section without a trace.
There are graves in the necropolis, which are visited not only by relatives, but also by admirers. Connoisseurs of Soviet sports often come to a modest grave in the eighth section, where the goalkeeper of the Moscow Spartak, football player V. Zhmelkov, rests. And on the fifth site, the actress M. Skvortsova found her refuge, starring in more than 40 films, including "Crew", "Guest from the Future", "White Bim Black Ear".
Among those buried at the cemetery are the daughter of Vasily Chapaev - Claudia, General of Aviation G. Belovzorov, Master of Sports of the USSR A. Karpov.
