Varieties of pranks
Prank culture has many genres and approaches. Some approach strangers on the street and act out some non-standard situation in order to capture the emotion they are producing from an unsuspecting person. Others work "from under the bushes" and only for a few seconds are shown to the person being played. Still others do something completely new and extraordinary, excellingstaging methods. However, not many people know that prank is primarily a telephone prank (telephone hooliganism). Pranksters call other people and "breed" them into emotions, provoking and annoying them during telephone communication. One of these is Alexey Stolyarov (Lexus is a nickname, a pranker's nickname).
Stolyarov's popularity
On the Internet, the guy became famous for his unique pranks on such famous personalities as Petro Poroshenko, Igor Kolomoisky, Vitali Klitschko, Mikhail Gorbachev and many others. Alexey is not limited to Russian-speaking people. Once he played the very Senator of the United States of America John McCain, then he mocked the Secretary General of NATO (Organization of the North Atlantic Alliance) Jens Stoltenberg. In addition, Alexey, together with Vovan 222 (also a no less famous Russian prankster) recorded a prank on Mr. Elton John.
Pranker Alexei Stolyarov: biography
Aleksey born in 1987. Born in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg). As a child, he was an experienced Internet user - he “monitored” all the most popular imageboard resources, while being interested in politics at the same time. I first learned about the prank movement since the early 2000s. At the same time, Alexey Stolyarov begins to record his experimental pranks. He chose his first victims from the people - ordinary people. He began to engage in political pranks from the beginning of 2012. The guy started recording his practical jokes ahead of the presidential election. First loud prankwas with Boris Berezovsky when he admitted on the phone that he financed the opposition and the rallies that were taking place on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow at that time.
Pranks of Ukrainian politicians
In 2014, the Russian prankster Lexus switched to Ukrainian politics, because he considered that there were more “interesting” representatives and more resonant events (Euromaidan, the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbass, etc.). The loudest and most resonant prank was recorded with Igor Kolomoisky (Ukrainian oligarch, businessman and politician) and Dmitry Yarosh (nationalist military leader).
This prank was recorded over two months via Skype video calls. Aleksey Stolyarov introduced himself as the people's governor of the Donetsk People's Republic, Pavel Gubarev (it should be noted that the prankster looked very similar in appearance). During the draw, some political secrets were revealed, namely: corruption schemes and their problems, legal circumvention of the Minsk agreements, the reasons for the withdrawal of large Ukrainian battalions (Azov and others). The video clips of the conversation are divided into whole series from 7 to 30 minutes. The videos have become popular on YouTube, each episode has received more than a million views.
Prank with Elton John
The famous British pop singer on September 15, 2015 published a photo of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on his Instagram and wrote that he had a conversation with him the day before. However, whatthey were the ones talking, Elton didn't specifically say. As it turned out, there was no conversation. From the “face of Putin” (more precisely, under his guise), Russian pranksters called Lexus and Vovan222. Alexey Stolyarov, together with his partner, played Elton John, introducing themselves as Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Peskov. The thing is that shortly before the prank, the British rock singer visited Ukraine, where he had a personal dialogue with Petro Poroshenko. After this conversation, Elton gave a short interview to one publication, where he said that he wanted to talk with Russian President V. V. Putin. In turn, Russian pranksters Alexei Stolyarov and Vladimir Kuznetsov gave him this opportunity. During the conversation, the issue of legalizing gay parades in Russia and supporting the LGBT movement in general was discussed. Prior to this, the Briton has repeatedly criticized Putin's policies regarding sexual minorities. The pranksters do not provide more detailed information about the conversation.
