Anatoly Rafailovich Belkin - member of the New York Academy of Sciences, founder of the Institute for Independent Research, lawyer, specialist in law, criminology and forensics. He is also a participant in many intellectual games, a humorist and a poet recognized in Russia.

Biography of Anatoly Rafailovich Belkin

Anatoly was born on 1955-12-06 in the city of Moscow. His family was very intelligent: his father, Rafail Samuilovich Belkin, was a very famous specialist in forensic science, his mother, Henrietta Lazarevna Belkina, was a metallurgical engineer. Sister Elena, just like her father and brother, devoted her life to forensic science.

Anatoly was a very smart child, he always studied well and showed interest in his father's profession from an early age.

In 1978, Anatoly Rafailovich Belkin entered the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Control. After successfully graduating from the institute, Anatoly decided to continue his studies, entered the graduate school, which he graduated in 1981, received a Ph. D.

Career

After the training was completed, Anatoly Rafailovich Belkin began to work in the Scientific Council of the USSR Academy of Sciences. In 1987, he became the head of the decision support systems sector at the Institute for Design Automation of the USSR Academy of Sciences, later renamed the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In 1991 he created the first private research institute in the country, later renamed the Institute of Independent Research.

In 2000 he became a doctor of science. He defended his thesis at Voronezh State University. After that, Anatoly Rafailovich was appointed professor of the department of criminal law at MGUPI. In addition, he taught at other higher educational institutions. Wrote more than 250 scientific papers, published several textbooks and manuals. He is a member of the Presidium of the International Congress of Criminalists.

For a long time Anatoly was playing in "Own game", where he was able to become the absolute champion of the Russian Federation in 1997. He is a chronicler of "His Game", created a website on which he outlined the entire history of this program. Anatoly often acts as a critic, he writes that the presenter is biased, many questions are incorrect, there are double standards.

In 1997, he decided to become one of the “experts” of the Russian Federation and founded the team “For good reason”. The team won the Highest League of the Moscow Championship in “What? Where? When? three times, twice won the championship of Russia, six times became the champion of the IAC Superleague. In 2008, the team took first place in the World Championship for this game.

In 2009Anatoly Rafailovich Belkin was disqualified. He was accused of cheating and manipulating tournament results. Belkin himself stated that this was an action so that the “Not for nothing” team was eliminated. Despite his statements, Belkin stopped playing, although he did not stop organizing gaming tournaments.

Belkin published his creations many times in various publications. He wrote and published a large number of his poetry collections.

After 1995, Anatoly writes mainly philosophical lyrics.

He is a member of the Writers' Union of Russia, even a secretary.

Married twice, from his first marriage has two children, the eldest daughter Anna and the youngest son Dmitry. His daughter Anna and wife Margarita were participants in intellectual tournaments with their father.

Belkin is a purely Jewish surname. Anatoly Rafailovich saw his family tree, in which there were fifteen generations of Levites. All men were called either Raphael or Samuel. Nevertheless, Jewish traditions in this family were not held in high esteem, for example, Anatoly was not circumcised, he did not study Hebrew. In Hebrew, Anatoly Rafailovich knows only one phrase, and he learned that as an adult, in 1991.
