In fact, the abbreviation of the Airborne Forces, the decoding of which is actually very simple, entered our lives a long time ago thanks to the famous General Vasily Margelov, who during his lifetime enjoyed great respect from most of his fighters, who considered him their second father.

History of Creation

Officially, the Airborne Forces appeared in our state on August 2, 1930. It was on this date that paratroopers were used for the first time at the exercises of the Air Force near Voronezh. In the rear of a mock enemy, 12 people armed with rifles, machine guns and other ammunition descended from heaven to earth. Pre-war path of troops

Paratroopers were actively involved even before the start of World War II.
