Averina Dina Alekseevna, together with her sister Arina, are the new stars of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team. The girl was born in August 1998. He is a master of sports of international class.
Dina's family and childhood
Dina Averina comes from the Nizhny Novgorod region. The girl's father is a football player Alexei Averin. The mother of the athlete, Oksana Averina, also did gymnastics in the past. Dina and Arina also have a sister, Polina, who was a member of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team. The first coach of Arina and Dina Averin was Irina Belova. According to the mentor, since childhood, both girls were demanding of themselves and very hardworking.
Until the age of 12, both sisters had growth problems. This forced the coach to send the pupils for a complete examination, including an analysis of the bones and phalanges of the fingers. No pathologies were identified, however, doctors advised to adjust the diet, and also recommended changing the loads. Soon the girls were able to catch up with their peers in height.
Career start
Dina Averina started her professional sports career at the age of 13. That's when she becametrain at the base of the Russian national team in Novogorsk. The girl was noticed at the Young Gymnast competition, and coach Vera Shatalina invited the sisters to her place. In 2014, Dina became the winner of the Moscow Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship. At the next competition, held in 2014 in Israel, the girl becomes the second, and the first place is awarded to her sister Arina.
At the World Championships in Lisbon, Dina Averina wins two bronze medals in the all-around and in the ribbon number. In addition, she is awarded a silver medal in the mace competition. In the same year, at the Russian Championship, the gymnast received bronze for her performance with a ribbon and silver for a number with a hoop. Then there were many bronze, silver and gold medals at various club and international competitions.
Absolute victory
Last year, Dina competed at the Russian Championship and won a gold medal in the all-around. This achievement made the athlete the absolute champion of Russia in 2017.
In the same year, Dina Averina participates in the Thiers Grand Prix and wins 4 gold medals. 2017 has been an award-winning year. At the European Championships, Dina Averina becomes a three-time European champion, having won 3 gold medals: in the team all-around, in the exercise with a ribbon and with a hoop. The sisters are called the leaders of the Russian national team.
And in 2018, Dina becomes the absolute world champion, having won 5 gold medals!
