Dina Averina started her professional sports career at the age of 13. That's when she becametrain at the base of the Russian national team in Novogorsk. The girl was noticed at the Young Gymnast competition, and coach Vera Shatalina invited the sisters to her place. In 2014, Dina became the winner of the Moscow Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship. At the next competition, held in 2014 in Israel, the girl becomes the second, and the first place is awarded to her sister Arina.

At the World Championships in Lisbon, Dina Averina wins two bronze medals in the all-around and in the ribbon number. In addition, she is awarded a silver medal in the mace competition.
