Students of the Tomsk Radio Institute also annually celebrate the Daytelevision and radio. Their tradition lies in the annual festive procession through the streets of their native city. In 2001, this event was even given the status of a city event. Also, students of this university say goodbye to faulty equipment on this day. Thanks to this tradition, this event was included in the Guinness Book of Records. According to official data, this year students said goodbye to more than 500 units of faulty equipment.

The place of celebration of this memorable date is not only the former republics of the USSR, but also Bulgaria.
