Alexander Rodnyansky is a producer, as they say, from God. The result of any of his work is always a success and a positive assessment of critics. Many people know him as the founder of the 1 + 1 TV channel or as the director of the STS TV channel. He is also involved in the series "My Fair Nanny", "Kadetstvo", "Ranetki", "Don't Be Born Beautiful" and "Daddy's Daughters".

Followed in the footsteps of mother and grandfather

While the majority of Soviet schoolchildren, after graduating from their first educational institution in their life, were lost in choosing their future path in life, Alexander Rodnyansky knew for sure that he would be a producer. He chose this direction of his life not by chance. He was raised by his mother, who was a film producer and worked at the Ukrainian film studio "Contact". She loved her job very much and probably talked a lot about it.son. Her father and grandfather, Alexander's grandfather and great-grandfather, were also television workers. Grandfather served as chief editor of the Documentary Film Studio. On the territory of this film studio, by the way, there was a house in which Alexander grew up.

He remembers how, as a child, old films replaced toys for him, how he ran to the studio to watch rough cuts of films. In such an environment, he simply could not help but fall in love with what his mother, grandfather and great-grandfather did. He developed a deep respect for cinema.

First attempts at self-affirmation

After graduating from university, Rodnyansky immediately gets a job at the Kyiv Science Film Studio as a film director. In total, Alexander creates seven documentaries, including "Mission of Raoul Wallenberg", "Farewell to the USSR" and "March of the Living" (for the latter he received prizes at two festivals).

Since 1990, Alexander Rodnyansky has been a producer and director of a host on one of the German channels. He creates some of his documentaries while already abroad. This also applies to his best work, March of the Living. However, Rodnyansky does not stay long outside his homeland and returns back with the idea to maximize his production talent.

Work for 1+1 and STS

In 1994, Rodnyansky returned to his native country and founded "1 + 1", which is rapidly becoming the leader of Ukrainian TV channels. In 2002, a global change takes place in his life - he moves to Moscow and becomes the chief director of the TV channelSTS. The success of his work on the new channel leads to the fact that after only two years he takes the place of the head of the CTC Media holding.

In just three years, under the skillful leadership of Alexander Rodnyansky, the STS channel has increased its audience to an unprecedented scale. His popularity was maintained thanks to the TV series "Poor Nastya", "My Fair Nanny", "Don't Be Born Beautiful", beloved by all. When the rating of the channel began to plummet in 2007, the situation was saved thanks to the comedy series Daddy's Daughters. While working at STS, Rodnyansky acquires the Kinotavr film festival. In 2008, he becomes a jury member of the Berlin Film Festival.

The decision to say goodbye to the STS TV channel Alexander Rodnyansky takes in 2009. Immediately after that, he created his own company AR-Films, thanks to which he had the opportunity to create and shoot intellectual films. In 2010, he became chairman of the Emergency Council of a Russian private media holding. Under his strict guidance, Channel Five and REN-TV are being restarted.

Professional achievements

In total, Alexander Rodnyansky, whose photo shows his self-confidence, has been a producer of more than 40 films and 30 series, many of which have become extremely popular. He has many awards to his credit: he is the winner of the Nika award three times, he was twice awarded as the best television producer in Russia, he received an award from the European Film Academy and many other awards. His films "1001 recipes for a cook in love","East-West", and in 2015 "Leviathan" were nominated for "Oscar".

Jane Mansfield's Car, Elena and Stalingrad, which became the highest-grossing film of the decade, can be noted as especially successful works by the producer in recent years. Together with Stalingrad, in 2013, a book created by Rodnyansky, The Producer Came Out, was published, which tells about the dark side of his work.

Family Brief

Rodnyansky's faithful companion, Valeria Miroshnichenko, was originally a researcher. Having moved to Germany in 1990 with her husband, Valeria changes her speci alty and becomes a radio journalist. Upon returning to her homeland, the wife becomes a faithful assistant to Alexander Rodnyansky in the development and creation of projects for the 1 + 1 channel, and then STS.

The life that Valeria Miroshnichenko and Alexander Rodnyansky lead can be called friendly. The family of these film and television workers also includes two children. The eldest son, who was named after his father, graduated from the German Secondary School and then the British School of Economics.

Cinema never attracted Alexander Jr., but work in the economic sphere absorbed him completely: he is hard at work on his doctoral program at Princeton. He married actress Yanina Studilina, the star of Ranetki and Stalingrad.

Elya's daughter is currently studying at the University of Chicago. She is active and loves writing.
