This man stood at the origins of the founding of the legendary radio station "Silver Rain". Despite many changes and difficulties, he has led this radio since the first day of its foundation in 1995. For almost 21 years, Dmitry Savitsky has been the permanent general director of this radio station. In addition, he gained additional popularity by becoming one of the founders of the Silver Galosh comic award, which was awarded to famous people for dubious achievements.

Dmitry Savitsky: biography

The future head of one of the most popular radio broadcasters in Moscow was born in 1971. Dmitry Savitsky managed to earn his first money at a fairly young age. He was not shy about working at the post office and delivering newspapers. After leaving school, the young man decided to get a higher education and entered the evening department of the Leningrad Institute for the Training of Film Engineers in Moscow at the faculty of sound engineers. At the same time, Dmitry Savitsky combined his studies with work at Mosfilm.

Receivethe young man failed to complete higher education, because even in his first year he was called up for military service. Savitsky served in the internal troops in the NKAO. He was on the territory of Armenia, as well as in Azerbaijan. During the service, the young man had the opportunity to distinguish himself, for which he was awarded several medals and certificates.

Where Dmitry Savitsky worked before Silver Rain

After the army, it so happened that the guy decided not to return to the institute, which, judging by his interview, he does not regret until today. According to data that can be freely read on the Internet, after the army, Dmitry worked as a taxi driver for some time. Then, from 1991 to 1992, he worked as a sound engineer at Aktiv LTD, a Soviet-British television company. Then he had the opportunity to gain useful experience in a leadership position later, holding the post of executive director at the joint Soviet-French enterprise Novoye Vremya, which was the International Association of Cultural Workers. He held this position for almost a year, from 1992 to 1993. The next stage in Savitsky's life was the legendary Silver Rain.

Foundation of the radio station

Savitsky himself now recalls that in 1995 in the media space of Russia there was a situation when only five or six radio stations broadcast their airs. All of them were purely musical, and it was Dmitry who put forward the idea of creating an information and music radio station, on the air of which one could hear various programs. This idea was supported by himlike-minded people, among whom was the now ex-wife of Dmitry Savitsky Natalia Sindeeva.

At this time, the authorities announced a federal competition for a new radio station that could broadcast on a certain wave. Savitsky and his team presented the developed concept and won this competition in April 1995. Three months later, in July, the radio station began broadcasting around the clock. Since then, the broadcast of "Silver Rain" has not stopped for a minute. Natalya Sindeeva took the post of general producer, and Savitsky Dmitry Vladimirovich, as the founder of the station, became the general director.

Basic Broadcasting Directions

Today, the audience of this radio station is middle-aged Russians with a stable income above average. About 20 author's programs are regularly aired, each of which has its own point of view on certain events. Perhaps this was due to the fact that there is no strict censorship here. The general director of Silver Rain radio himself says that while there were no taboos and prohibitions from their radio station "from above", he allows his employees to cover any events, adhering to any point of view. At the same time, Savitsky says that there is only one topic that he will never allow to air - this is the topic of nationalism.

The need to support themselves and cover expenses on their own forces the radio station to broadcast a largethe amount of advertising. Many listeners note this fact, but Savitsky himself is very pragmatic about this and says that this source of income helps Silver Rain to support itself and not ask for money from shareholders once again. For the sake of fairness, it should be noted that, in addition to commercial advertising, social projects can often be heard on the frequencies of this radio station, for example, warning drivers to drive while intoxicated. Radio introduces such advertising based solely on its civic conscious position, and they do not receive additional money for this.

Silver Galosh

Over time, the Silver Rain team came up with a new project that attracted a lot of attention. They became the annual award "Silver galosh". It meant rewarding public figures in certain "antinominations". Many recognizable people tried to avoid the "Silver Galoshes", and only a few celebrities could adequately accept such an "award".

This project lasted for several years, and the last award took place in the Kremlin in 2013. Few people know the real reasons for the closure of the Silver Galosh, but according to the official version voiced by Savitsky, the award was closed because there were no conditions for the further implementation of the project.

Evil Director

Some time ago, the network was vigorously discussing reviews of the work on the "Silver Rain" left by a former employee. Pathological economy of light was described, which Savitsky requires office employees to observe: if it is daylight outside, it is strictly forbidden to turn on artificial light. The girl also noted too high requirements for staff, which provide for lightning-fast understanding by employees of all the boss’s thoughts and moving around the office only at a fast pace - Dmitry considers walking at a measured pace as “doing nothing.”

Commenting on comments like this from ex-employees, the CEO admits that he does get tough in some cases. But Savitsky is of the opinion that the end justifies the means, because in order to maintain your radio station, you really need to save a lot. Regarding the staff, Dmitry states that there are several true professionals in his team who have been working with him for more than 10 years, and such restrictions do not upset them. To those who leave the radio station, the general director also has a completely normal attitude. The only thing he cannot forgive former employees is when theygo to work on the Dozhd TV channel. Such a categorical position has its own explanations.

Private life

The owner of the Dozhd TV channel is Dmitry's ex-wife, Natalia Sindeeva. When her husband had the idea to create "Silver Rain", Natalia fully supported him. After the launch of the radio station, she took the post of commercial director. Over time, she decided to create her own channel and called it "Rain".

The breakup of business relations coincided with the end of a great love between spouses. Their divorce was very difficult.

Dmitry could not forgive Natalia for trying in every possible way to lure the radio station staff to her channel, many of whom happily agreed. Dmitry is also annoyed that the names "Rain" and "Silver Rain" are similar and are often confused. But most of all, Savitsky is worried that after the divorce, Natalya remained one of the most influential shareholders of Silver Rain and she does not intend to sell her stake.

An affair with the legendary Ksenia Anatolyevna

After a high-profile divorce, Dmitry Savitsky had an equally high-profile affair with Ksenia Sobchak.

To the surprise of many, this relationship lasted quite a long time - several years, but in the end, the couple broke up. The former lovers do not talk about the true reasons, but they say that the difference in interests and different lifestyles greatly influenced the separation. Savitsky never liked parties and does not consider himself a media personface.

Unlike Sindeeva, Dmitry has maintained a good relationship with Ksenia. After a certain time, after parting, they speak of each other quite warmly.

In one of the interviews, Sobchak even said that now they are family friends, and Ksenia communicates well with Savitsky's new wife Daria.
