Aleksey Alexandrovich Mordashov is one of the most famous and richest oligarchs in Russia. From his youth he was ambitious, purposeful. At the age of 27, he already became the financial director of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant, and after a while, his owner.

Alexey Mordashov was born on September 26, 1965 in the city of Cherepovets. His entire family worked at the steel plant.

Under Alexei Mordashov's rule, Severstal has reached a new level. He brought many innovations to the company that worked to the benefit of production.

As a leader, Alexei was always tough. He fires employees without hesitation who do not provide value. Easily cuts wages if needed. Rumor has it that when Alexei was buying shares in the company, he could not pay money to employees for months so that they could part with their vouchers more easily.

Over time, Alexei Mordashov acquired the Ulyanovsk Automobile and Izhora Pipe Plants, and many other companies, including foreign ones. In the Vologda Oblast, he controls all the mediaspace.

In 2015, Alexei left the Severstal plant, where he held the post of CEO for 19 years.
