Alexander Legkov, whose photo is in this article, is a Russian Olympic champion, a member of the Russian national cross-country skiing team in Turin. Thanks to phenomenal stamina, Legkov was able to survive two abdominal operations after he fell ill with peritonitis in the 7th grade. The doctor said that only excellent physical hardening saved the teenager. Many people still remember about his endurance. Being in a pioneer camp, Alexander Legkov was the only one who ran 100 laps of 300 meters. This “marathon” lasted 3 hours. After running, the teenager drank kefir and also played table tennis.
