Hossein Robert was born in the very center of France, in Paris. In 1927 he was born in the family of Anna Minkowska and André Hossein. His mother was born in the Ukrainian capital, but soon her parents moved to St. Petersburg, and then left for Germany. It was Anna who taught her son to speak Russian.
