Childhood of the future champion
Fomina Elena Aleksandrovna (Elena Fomina) was born on April 5, 1979 in one of the sleeping areas of the capital.
Love for sports was instilled in Lena by her father, who was fond of football and even played for the national team of the work team of his plant. From the age of four, dad took his daughter to matches, and she cheered hard for him.
Even before school, Lena Fomina played yard football with the boys. They did not immediately accept the girl into their team, at first they scoffed. But soon Lena became a full member of the yard team and played on a par with the guys.
School and football
When Lena went to school, she asked her father to take her to the football section. The father of two daughters, who dreamed of a son, was very pleased with such a passion for the girl. But my mother was categorically against this male occupation.
From the first grade, Lena Fomina played in the school football team. Despite the fact that she was the only representative of the weaker sex, no one even thought to laugh at the beautiful little football player. And coach Mikhail Andreev, sincerely passionate about football, noticed the girl's special abilities and recommended that her parents continue their studies at a specialized football school.
Workouts in the club
At the age of ten, her father took her by the hand to the football club "Rus", where Fomina Elena Alexandrovna grew up as an athlete under the strict guidance of Mikhail Makarshin.
Training took the schoolgirl a lot of time, getting to the base was quite difficult. She often did her homework on the subway on her way to school. Nevertheless, she managed to study perfectly.
Mom never ceased to convince her daughter. She tried to occupy Lena with music. But the girl attended the piano class hardly three times.
Then there was figure skating, gymnastics and karate. But Elena Alexandrovna Fomina did not change her love for football.
For several years, the football player played for Rus. Later, Mikhail Dmitrievich became the coach of the Chertanovo team and invited his pupil there.
Playing for the national team
The moment of graduation from school and further self-determination was approaching. Elena Alexandrovna Fomina, whose biography and hobbies are very different from her peers, like all teenagers, was at a crossroads. She wanted to grow and develop in sports. Moreover, she has already managed to feel the atmosphere of big-time sports (from the age of 14 she was attracted to play in the national team).
After graduating from school, my mother insisted on choosing a less traumatic and more paid profession. And Lena herself dreamed of playing football professionally. Then she decided for herself: “Either a place in the national team, or farewell to football.”
Fortunately, the future star Elena Alexandrovna Fomina was enrolled in the women's football team.
At the same time, the girl managed to surprisingly combine training, tournaments and endless matches with training at the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture.
In 1999, 20-year-old football player Elena Alexandrovna Fomina first entered the World Cup, which was held in America. The level of the event and its scale amazed the girl. Women's football in Russia was absolutely unpopular, while in America, football players gathered entire stadiums.

The next World Cup in the biography of Elena Alexandrovna Fomina happened 4 years later. This time she was no longer an ordinary player, but the captain of the team. Everyone noted the game of the girl. She scored many important goals.

Coaching

In 2013, having gained experience, Elena Aleksandrovna Fomina became a full-fledged coach of the Rossiyanka. Being a coach of the women's team is not easy, but Fomina did it. She treated each ward with warmth and motherly love.

She met her husband at a dog club. He was not a football fan, much less interested in women's sports. But after meeting Elena, he became a permanent fan and fan, attending every match of his beloved.
