The most popular announcer of the Soviet Union - Anna Shatilova, whose biography includes decades of work on television - will celebrate her 80th anniversary this month. During her long creative life, she managed to achieve great success and win over many people. The reason for this is her perseverance and resilient disposition. We will tell about Anna Shatilova as a cult announcer and a strong personality in the article.
Childhood
The future blue screen star was born on November 26, 1938 in the Moscow region. It is not difficult to guess that the Soviet children born at that time were practically deprived of real childhood. Anna's parents, like all adults, were called to the front and hard work. In the autumn of 1941, little Anya said goodbye to her father, who left home and never returned. As it turned out later, my father died in Germany, where he was sent to a prisoner of war camp. Anna's mother was very upset by the separation from her husband, but did not show it to her daughter.
Despite the hungry and cold childhood in her biography, Anna Shatilova was engaged in creativity from the first years: she participated in amateur performances, sang, recited poetry and danced.
Announcers Contest
Having entered the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Anna could not even imagine how her fate would turn very soon. Walking along the corridors of the hostel, she saw an advertisement for the recruitment of announcers on the radio. Without thinking twice, she remembered that she always liked the creative direction, so she decided to try her luck. What was the surprise of the young student when, out of five hundred people, she and four other lucky ones were selected and approved by the selection committee. Among them, by the way, was the great announcer - Yuri Levitan. After such an unexpected turn, Shatilova transferred to the Faculty of Philology.
Television work
This is a special stage in her biography. Anna Shatilova from the beginning of the 60s became a TV presenter, the whole country began to recognize her. It was she who was instructed to conduct news programs that told about the life of the country and its citizens. A little later, Anna became the permanent host of the most popular Blue Light in Soviet times, along with other talented announcers of the USSR.
In the early 70s, Anna Shatilova, whose biography was replenished with another important event, moved abroad. She was offered to go to Japan and work there as a TV presenter and teacher of the Russian language. For about two years, Shatilova hosted a program where she told local residents about the rules of Russian grammar.
After her return, many noticed that the TV presenter's style had changed. After living for some time in Japan, Anna found her own image, which she has been adhering to for about 50 years. It consists in her favorite combination of red and white colors, as well as in a boiled white shirt collar. Shatilova always adds a zest to the outfit in the form of an artificial flower brooch or a stylish scarf around the neck.
Anna Shatilova's family
Many viewers are interested in both the biography and personal life of Anna Shatilova. However, she spoke very little about her family. Maybe that's why her female fate was quite happy, unlike her public colleagues. Anna Shatilova protected her husband, children, personal life and biography as best she could from publicity.
It is only known that she was married only once and lived all her life with one man - Alexei. In this marriage, their common and only son Cyril was born. Anna and Alexei have two grandchildren. Kirill has succeeded in life and works in a large foreign company.
