Vissarion Dzhugashvili died presumably in 1909. There is a grave in the city of Telavi, where, according to some, he was buried.

Evgeny Yakovlevich received an excellent military education, defended his Ph. D. thesis and taught at military universities for many years. In 1991, he retired with the rank of colonel and took up social activities in Russia and Georgia.

Stalin's great-grandson Vissarion was born in Tbilisi in 1965. In the early 70s, together with his parents and brother, he moved to Moscow, where he graduated from the 23rd special school.
