Ruban Alena is the winner of the show "Ukrainian Supermodel"

The dream of many girls is to become a model and shine in the light of flashbulbs. For them, the podium is a path to a successful and beautiful life. But not everything is so rosy, the path from Cinderella to the princess turns out to be very laborious, and not everyone finds the strength and zeal to succeed.

But still miracles happen. Recently, the "New Channel" of Ukrainian television launched an incredible project "Supermodel in Ukrainian", which in the fall of 2015 started for the second time. This reality show helped many girls to believe that it is still possible to make a dream come true on their own. The fact that not everything in this world is bought and sold yet, and talent is still valuable, could be understood by a simple girl from Dnepropetrovsk, Alena Ruban, the winner of this project. Here is her fashion story.

Alena Ruban - who is she?

At first glance, this girl is notdiffers from her peers: a beautiful, slender, smiling brown-haired woman. And, perhaps, she would have remained one of the many if her friends had not forced her to go to the casting of a TV show, where she immediately stood out not only due to her appearance, but also to her fighting character.

It was not formed by chance: Alena had a hard time in her life, but this hardened her. Firstly, the girl grew up without a father, and her mother died when she was only 9 years old. Her grandmother came to raise her, with whom she had little contact until then. At first, it was hard for Alena to find a common language with her, she began to withdraw into herself. Also in adolescence, she especially missed her mother. But over time, her grandmother became her closest person who supported her in everything, including the desire to conquer the catwalks.

But Alena did not grow up as a greenhouse child at all: from the age of 10 she already knew how to cope with the household, cook, eat, go shopping. This helped her become independent faster than others, thanks to which she gained confidence in herself and in her abilities.

Before project

When Alena Ruban came to the show, it became known that she was not a beginner in modeling. The girl gained some experience by working as a model in private shows for 2 years, she had dozens of photo shoots and even shooting in advertisements. This helped her feel more confident, as she had at least some knowledge of the kitchen of the modeling school, unlike those participants who had no idea about it. But, as Alena herself later said, all her experienceturned out to be just a drop in the ocean compared to what she still had to master.

Also, she has already managed to become a student of the Faculty of Philology with a degree in English Language and Literature. In general, the girl is also studying French and Italian in parallel. By the way, it is impossible to do without this in the modeling business now, because you need to freely communicate with foreign customers and photographers at photo shoots.

Alena Ruban: height, weight

Her parameters were almost exemplary. With a height of 175 cm, the 19-year-old girl weighed 58 kilograms at the time she started participating in the casting. In general, her external data corresponded to the standard 90-60-90. Of course, the jury of the competition had complaints about the volume of her hips. The fact is that earlier Ruban Alena supported her athletic figure by pumping her buttocks and leg muscles in a fitness center. And although this helped her create elastic forms, there was a lot of muscle mass. This was the reason for the extra volume, and therefore she was forced to abandon the gym and switch to a he althy diet.

Participation in the project

From the very beginning, the jury members relied on her as one of the leaders of the competition, because she knew how to come up with various poses, she didn’t get lost during work, she didn’t need to be told what to do. Alena showed that she perfectly controls her body, knows her strengths and weaknesses, her facial expressions are developed.

Many photographers noted her ability to work andpersistence. Perhaps a certain experience in the modeling business affected. Be that as it may, she was always ready to learn and listened to the advice given to her by the judges and Alla Kostromicheva. Therefore, at the photo shoots, Ruban Alena behaved moderately modestly, but confidently, never whined, did not complain about the conditions of filming. For this, both Richard and Sonya respected her, and especially Sergey Nikityuk.

The most difficult photo sessions for Alena were shooting in Odessa in a boat with dead fish (due to the terrible smell of rot), as well as in the Lviv citadel with a spider (I had to overcome a phobia).

Why exactly did she win?

Alena had almost no failed photo shoots, so the judges mostly praised her. If there were any shortcomings, then she tried to correct immediately. Thanks to her excellent work, Alena Ruban won the sympathy of the audience and judges, and it was in the hands of the latter that her fate was.

But not everything went smoothly. In the final, she had serious rivals: Vlada Pecheritsyna and Tanya Bryk. But still, Tanya was sent home due to the fact that she never managed to lose those extra pounds in her hips, and Vlada had a hard time changing her expression, she was always the same. Therefore, the palm was awarded to Alena.

What is model Alena Ruban doing now?

Immediately after the project, Alena signed a contract, as promised, with the French modeling agency "Marilyn", posed for the cover of the popular publication "Pink", and also participated in Ukrainian Fashion Week, andit's worth a lot. Also, now the girl is invited to take part in many shows, they are taken as a jury for beauty contests. The first winner of the show "Ukrainian Supermodel" became popular, she got her own fans.

Alena's future plans are to finish her studies and develop her career, and by the age of thirty - family and children. Now she is quite satisfied with life and does not regret that she came to the casting of the show that changed her life. Immediately after the project, Alena Ruban's photos became very popular.

"Supermodel in Ukrainian-2" will undoubtedly light another star in the world of Ukrainian modeling business.
