Sablin Dmitry Vadimovich was born on September 5, 1968 in the city of Zhdanov, which is now called Mariupol (Ukraine, Donetsk region). His father was a design engineer.

In the same year, he went to Ukraine as head of a delegation that acted as observers for elections to the Verkhovna Rada.

On June 11, 2013, without explaining any reasons, Sablin resigned as a deputy.

In September 2016, Dmitry Vadimovich became a people's deputy of the seventh convocation of the StateDuma of the Russian Federation. In February 2017, he flew to Syria, where, as a member of the delegation, he held an official meeting with Bashar al-Assad and spoke in favor of the early opening of the Russian consulate in Aleppo.

In 2013, the politician was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Mariupol.
