Biography

Nick Carter was born on January 28, 1980, in Jamestown, New York, to Jane Elizabeth Schneck and Robert Carter, who owned a bar called The Yankee Rebel. His mother is of Welsh, Irish, German, English and American ancestry. A few years later, their family moved to Ruskin, Florida, where they ran a nursing home. Nick Carter has siblings: Bobby Jean, Leslie, Aaron and Angel. The singer's parents divorced in 2003. Father remarried to Ginger R. Elrod and had a son, Caden Brent, in 2005.

Career

Carter became interested in singing and music from an early age. His mother signed him up for singing and ballet lessons. He auditioned for a theater and dance school at the age of 10.
