This man began his path to fame as an actor, but achieved success as a director and producer. What is the history of the star?

Dzhanik Faiziev: family, childhood

The director and producer was born in Tashkent, it happened in July 1961. Janik Fayziev is a man who was lucky enough to be born in a creative family. His father is a successful Uzbek director Khabib Faiziev, and his mother is actress Svetlana Norbaeva. Janik is a shortened version of the name Jahongir, which was given to him at birth.

The boy was born into a complete family, but his parents broke up when he was barely a year old. Soon his mother married a second time, Ossetian actor Bimbolat Vatagaev became her chosen one. Janik has a half-brother Zaurbek, with whom he has a great relationship.

For the first time Janik Fayziev got onfilm set as a child. At the age of eleven, he made his debut in the drama "Waiting for You Boy", where he got a cameo role. In the same year, the short film "At the very blue sky" was presented to the audience, in which the young actor played Iskander. Then he played a supporting role in the film "The Man Goes for the Birds".

Education

By the time he graduated from school, Janik Fayziev no longer doubted that he wanted to connect his fate with cinema and television. The young man went to Moscow and applied to several creative universities. The future star managed to enter VGIK, Boris Chirkov took him to his studio. Faiziev received his diploma in 1983.

Several years later, Janik thought about a second education, this time directing. He again became a student of VGIK, first studied in the workshop of Yuri Ozerov, then began to study to comprehend the secrets of directing under the guidance of Irakli Kvirikadze.

From actors to directors

Faiziev did not achieve much success as an actor. Over the years, he appeared in the films “Serving the Fatherland”, “Youth of a Genius”, “Awakening”, “The Adventure of Little Muck”, “Code of Silence”, and also starred in the series “Meeting at High Snows” and “Murka”.

Gradually, Janik realized that it was not the acting profession that was his vocation. Directing and producing became priority areas for him. For a while, the young man held the position of assistant director at"Uzbekfilm", then became the director of the youth theater "Ilkhom".

Fayziev's first major achievement was the New Year's musical film "Old Songs about the Essentials", released in the late 80s. He was successful, and Janik was entrusted with the work on a cycle of such paintings. This was followed by cooperation with the Ostankino and NTV channels, and then the position of the head of the Directorate of Film Production on Channel One.
