Biography

Alexander Filippov was born on the twenty-third of October 1992 in the city of Avdeevka (Ukraine). Started playing football from an early agea pupil of the Donetsk UOR (Olympic Reserve School), in which he played in the youth football league of Ukraine in the period from 2006 to 2009. In 2011, Oleksandr signed a professional contract with Arsenal Kyiv from the Premier League. He spent his first season as a stand-in, often started in the starting line-up and made effective moves in the attack.

The debut for the adult team took place on November 25, 2012 in the match against Dynamo Kyiv, where the Gunners suffered a crushing defeat with a score of 0:4. In subsequent games of the Ukrainian championship, Oleksandr Filippov became more and more often involved in the main team, however, he still played a significant number of games as part of the youth team.

At the end of the 2013 season, the young striker had six matches in the Ukrainian Premier League, and in all of them he came out as a substitute in the last minutes of the game. On the eve of the 2013/14 season, Arsenal Kyiv began to experience some financial difficulties, due to which the team withdrew from the Premier League. Due to the lack of prospects and motivation, football player Alexander Filippov decided to leave the team.

Career in Illichivets Mariupol

In February 2014, A. Filippov signed a professional contract with Ilyichevets as a free agent. The player did not get into the main team, but was appointed to the reserve team. Subsequently, Alexander Filippov never made his debut for the Mariupol club.

Transition to Desna: a career in the Chernihiv club

In the summer of 2016, Alexander Filippov signed an agreement with Desna from Chernihiv, who play in the First League. Here, the striker quickly got a place in the first team and began to score goals. At the time of the spring of 2018, Filippov played 44 matches for the club, in which he scored two dozen goals. In the 2016/17 season, Desna became the vice-champion of the First League, receiving silver medals.

The occupied second place provided the team with access to the top division - the Ukrainian Premier League. However, "Desna" did not pass the proper certification in order to match the team status of the UPL. A lot of public outcry has grown around this decision. The club's management expressed their dissatisfaction with this, noting that in Ukrainian football there are no sports principles that are confirmed by the result, but only money, connectionsand corruption.

Yes, it was the financial component that became fundamental in the fact that the Chernihiv club did not get into the Premier League. The team remained to play in the First League, on July 15, 2017 the first match of the season took place.
