Evgeny Yakovlevich was born on February 27, 1932 in Moscow. His mother's name was Polina Filippovna, and his father's name was Yakov Samoylovich. He was an active party worker. As a result, he was sent as the second secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU to Uzbekistan (in the mid-thirties). But for a long time he did not work in this post. In the thirty-seventh year, Yakov Samoilovich was arrested as an enemy of the people and exiled near Vorkuta.

His family was sent to Alma-Ata. In the forty-sixth year, Yakov Samoylovich was transferred to work at a mine in Inta. The family moved in with him. Yevgeny's father was finally released only after Stalin's death. But livedYakov Samoylovich did not last long, dying of cancer.

Yevgeny Urbansky met his third wife, Dzidra Ritenberg, at a film festival in 1960. She was a native of Latvia, from the city of Liepaja. Dzidra was thirty years old at that time. They met Eugene by chance, at one of the secular parties. Three weeks later, Dzidra was admitted to the hospital for a check-up before a heart operation. Eugene visited her almost every day. The girl was born a few months after his death. Eugene was named after her father.

Death of Urbansky

Yevgeny Urbansky died on November 5, 1965 at the age of thirty-three. The tragedy occurred during the filming of the film "Director". During the stunt, the car in which Evgeny was was supposed to “jump” according to the scenario. The first take was filmed, but the director offered to make an additional, second one. During it, the car turned over.

If Eugene had leaned forward during the accident, he would have survived. But Urbansky, on the contrary, leaned back in his seat. As a result of the accident, he broke his spine. Yevgeny was urgently taken to the hospital, but they could not be saved. He died forty-five minutes after the accident. His last words were: “How painful…” The daughters of Yevgeny Urbansky were left without a father. The actor was buried at Moscow's Novodevichy Cemetery.
