Pionerskaya station of the St. Petersburg metro belongs to line No. 2, Moscow-Petrogradskaya, marked in blue on the diagram. On it you can cross the city in a straight line. The design names are Bogatyrsky Prospekt and Prospect Ispytateley. However, in the end, the station was named in honor of the 60th anniversary of the All-Union Pioneer Organization, which was celebrated in the year of its opening.
What is it, Pionerskaya metro station in St. Petersburg
The project of the ground pavilion of the station was developed by two architects - V. N. Shcherbin and A. M. Pesotsky. A distinctive feature is its roof, consisting of folds with a far protruding visor. The retail premises built much later on both sides of it significantly changed the overall appearance of the pavilion.
The interior decoration of the station is also the result of the architectural creativity of two masters - A. S. Getskin and V. G. Chekhman. Herthe design was initially laconic: the walls were lined with white ceramic tiles, a red-orange horizontal stripe was launched along the top, which resembles a front pioneer uniform - a white shirt with a fiery-colored tie tied over it. The name of the station on the track walls is lined with metal letters. Along the walls there are lamps hidden by a metal ceiling. The lighting of the entire hall is carried out thanks to the vault illuminated by them. The end of the platform is decorated with an illuminated decorative composition resembling the sun half visible above the horizon.
In the first decade of this century, the Pionerskaya metro station was refurbished - white tiles were replaced with porcelain stoneware, metal letters were removed, the name of the station was written on a blue horizontal strip applied to the track walls, a schematic image of the entire Moscow-Petrograd line. The illumination of the station's single dome ceiling became brighter. The gray granite flooring has been replaced with a darker polished one.
The station is located at a depth of 67 meters. Between the two tracks there is one straight platform, under which service and technical premises are located. The only exit from the station is equipped with three escalators. A staircase connects the inclined course and the platform.
In front of the pavilion in 1986 (according to other sources in 1988) a bronze sculpture "Running Children" (popularly called "Pioneers") was installed. This is the fruit of twosculptors - V. I. Vinnichenko, L. T. Gaponova and two architects - V. G. Chekhman, V. G. Sokolskaya. Initially, the sculpture contained another element - a hoop located at the boy's feet. Lost fragment recovery scheduled.
The nearest stops of this line (towards the city center): the previous one is “Udelnaya”, the next one is “Chernaya Rechka”, the metro train reaches each of them from Pionerskaya in 3 minutes. The tunnels of the line segment to the Chernaya Rechka station have maximum permissible slopes for movement and are located under an underground river.
From the history of Pionerskaya Station
The station was opened on November 6, 1982 at the intersection of two avenues - Istpytateley and Kolomyazhsky. Now this part of the city belongs to the municipality Komendantsky airfield of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. This segment of the metro line passes through the former territory of the Commandant airfield.
Before the opening of the station "Komendantsky Prospekt" of the fifth line, "Pionerskaya" was one of the most overloaded on the second line, and from December 1995 to June 2004 - the most problematic in the entire St. Petersburg metro. It was then that two nearby stations of the first branch, Lesnaya and Ploshchad Muzhestvo, were closed for the complete reconstruction of the tunnels that suffered from the consequences of the accident in 1974, when the ground saturated with water from the underground river eroded the section under construction in an accelerated mode.
During this period, restrictions were imposed on the functioning of the Pionerskaya metro station - in the morningsshe worked only at the entrance, in the evenings - at the exit.
Due to construction work on the station, ground shifts are currently being observed. Therefore, it is planned to close Pionerskaya for major repairs. The project provides for the construction of a second exit.
