The Moscow metro station "Perovo" was launched on the eve of the new year 1980 - 12/30/79. The opening of the station was timed to the Olympics-80, held in the Russian capital. They named it in honor of the village, and then the city of Perovo, then located in the vicinity of Moscow. Its underground exits allow people to get toGreen Avenue, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vladimirskaya streets. It has exits to Novogireevskaya and Bratskaya streets.

Design features of the station

The Perovo single-vaulted metro with an average daily passenger flow of 58,000 people was laid at a depth of 9 meters. For the construction of its tunnels, monolithic reinforced concrete was used. Vaults of underground corridors are fixed on vertical walls "in the ground".

The station hall is equipped with one straight island platform. The intermediate direct station without track development is equipped with 8 passages leading to two underground vestibules, which are open from 5:25 to 1:00.

Metro lobbies

The station is equipped with two vestibules that run underground. They stretch under Green Avenue and run into the subway. The western vestibule is equipped with six exits to the streets of the capital. Of these, they get to 2nd Vladimirskaya Street and various points of Zeleny Prospekt. The eastern lobby is equipped with two exits to the metropolis, to the area of Zeleny Prospekt.

Subway design

The interior of the station is made in the Slavic style. Shades of white dominate the design of the Perovo metro station, bringing lightness and spaciousness to the halls. The theme of the architectural and artistic design of the platform and lobbies is based on elements of folk arts and crafts.

The ornament on stone panels is similar to the images on printed popular prints. The composition of the marble panels included traditional Slavic characters. These are bright symbols, the origins of which have gone far into ancient times. They are loved by the people and have been used for centuries.to create decor.

To L. A. Artists Novikova and V. I. Filatov managed to harmoniously combine in them the sun breathing life, the lion guarding the house, the horse symbolizing strength and prosperity, the bird Sirin, personifying happiness, and fantasy floral ornaments.

Wall and arch cladding

The walls of the station are finished with white marble "koelga" with pinkish hues. The plinth is trimmed with black gabbro mineral. They are decorated with original panels with fabulous and mythical animals enclosed in a traditional rhombic cage. Thanks to such drawings, the wall acquires a peculiar rhythm.

There are 4 pairs of panels carved on snow-white marble in the Russian “mansion” style on the walls. In the center of the rhombic cells, framed by a floral ornament, there is a key image. In the station hall, to the right of the eastern entrance, a panel depicting a bird sitting on a tree was placed. The panel on the left is decorated with the fabulous bird of paradise Sirin, whose head is crowned with a crown.

The second pair of panels depicted a fabulous prophetic bird Gamayun and a lion. On one panel of the third pair, they painted a winged horse, and on the second, two suns (one with a sad face, and the other with a clear face). The last pair included a panel repeating motifs from the one on the right side of the eastern entrance, and a popular print with doves.

Entrance arches in the station hall are decorated with floral ornaments. Wet plaster carving technology was used to create a pattern on their gables.

Finish ceiling vaults and floors

Narrow niches are cut into the ceiling vaults, in which decorative zigzag shades are mounted. Luminaires, assembled in a zigzag pattern from gas-light tubes and metal plates, cope with two tasks at once - they decorate the ceiling and illuminate the halls.

The original plafonds were designed by the famous artist M. Alekseev. Thanks to the interesting shape of the shades, the light on the ceiling vaults spreads like a ripple of a feather.

"Perovo" - a metro station where the floors were formed from polished granite tiles. An interesting geometric ornament in the Russian style is laid out from the tiles. The combination of pinks, greys, browns and blacks created a beautifully harmonious pattern on the floor.

Interior of the platform

Double decorative columns with illuminated signs were installed along the central line of the platform. For the convenience of passengers, they were girded with wooden square benches. Their wide sides are facing each other, and the branched ones go up. In general, the composition of columns and benches with decorative carved inserts looks like cut tree trunks.

Station lighting

The space of the station is filled with air and light. White lamps in the ceiling vaults add elegance to the halls. They look like light lace, assembled from triangular motifs.
