Young years

In 1988, on the advice of a friend who worked at the Saratov Youth Theater, Igor Yatsko moved to Moscow and entered GITIS on the course of Anatoly Aleksandrovich Vasiliev himself. Moreover, the actor deliberately withstood a one-year pause - he was waiting for the maestro to recruit a troupe.

Since 1987, he participated in the competition of readers and even won a prestigious award. Igor Vladimirovich made his debut on the stage back in 1985, when he was a newly minted graduate of the Saratov School. He played in two performances - "Housewarming in an old house" and "The Importance of Being Earnest".

A few years later, while studying in the second year of GITIS, he entered the troupe of the "School of Dramatic Art". To date, his track record includes roles in more than twenty-five performances.

Direction

This work is based on the novel by the English writer James Joyce - "Ulysses". The play was unusual - it lasted twenty-four hours, so it got into the Russian Book of Records as the longest theatrical production of our time. In 2007, after the beloved teacher and mentor Anatoly Vasiliev moved to France, he handed over the reins of the theater to Igor Yatsko. He became the director of the theater "School of Dramatic Art".
