McKee Sullivan is an American model whose successful career took place thanks to participation and victory in the cult reality show "America's Next Top Model". More than 10 years have passed since Mackey's victory. How does the star of glossy covers and catwalks live today?

Early years

Brittany Sullivan, who became famous under the pseudonym Mackey, was born on September 9, 1988 in Lake Forest, Illinois, USA. Brittany grew up in a large family, in addition to her, Michael and Gail Sullivan have a daughter, Bridget, and two sons, Jimmy and Mike.

At a young age, the future star Mackey Sullivan did not dream of a modeling career at all - she studied at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology at Ripon College (Wisconsin) and was engaged in freestyle wrestling, literally torn between science and sports. However, having received a sports injury, Brittany suddenly lost interest in chemistry, suddenly taking up the study of medieval fashion and trying her hand first in design, and then in modeling. The victory in the regional competition of top models Elite Model Look gave the girl the idea to try her hand at the cult modeling show.

Participation in the show"America's Next Top Model"

In 2007, 19-year-old Brittany failed the qualifying round for the eighth season of America's most famous modeling show, but didn't give up. Having missed two seasons and thoroughly prepared, the girl came to the qualifying round of the eleventh season in 2008 - luck smiled at her with an honorable place in the ranks of the participants.

Change her name to Mackey Sullivan decided even before filming began, as two more contenders turned out to be her namesakes. "Mackey" was the girl's house nickname - her mother wanted to call her Mackenzie, but for some reason changed her mind.

The girl came to the qualifying competition with shoulder-length bright red hair, but the stylists of the show insisted on changing the image. This is how the black short haircut appeared, which later became McKee's hallmark.

Further career

The first year after winning the competition for McKee Sullivan was very eventful. She has appeared on the covers of Seventeen, Forest & Bluff, Nylon, Cover Fall, Vogue Knitting and Chicago. Scene and also represented brands such as Oroton, Fendi and Miu Miu. At Amsterdam Fashion Week the same year, Sullivan represented Eva and Delia, Mada van Gaans, Ready to Fish and Addy van den Krommenacker.

That same year, McKee became one of the top models at Elite Models in Chicago, with whom she still works to this day. She periodically appears in advertisements and magazines, but considers modeling a secondary career, putting raising her children and housekeeping in the first place.

Not many people know, but from her time on America's Next Top Model to this day, Sullivan has been a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish charity, which grants the wishes of terminally ill children.

Private life

Mixed martial artist Sam Alvey - her future husband - McKee Sullivan met back in 2005, while participating in the Bristol Renaissance Fair. At that time, she was 17 years old, and Sam was 19. The young people had a lot in common, since at that time the girl was still wrestling. They maintained a friendship for two years, starting a romantic relationship in 2007. Sam and McKee got engaged in 2011 and got married in 2013. Despite the fact that "Mackey Sullivan" is a trade brand, the model took her husband's surname, and now her name can be found in various variations: Brittany Alvey and Macky Alvey. In 2013 onthe light was the daughter of Sam and Brittany - Regina Quincy, and in 2014 - the son, who was christened Aival. At the end of 2018, the couple had another child, but his name has not yet been disclosed.
