Archaeological excavations on the lake in Bashkortostan

Lake Uzunkul in Bashkiria surprised historians. During excavations, archaeologists discovered here ancient jasper workshops, more than 20 thousand different items - scrapers, arrows, primitive knives - from processed jasper. All items were buried in the ground in clusters, most likely in semi-earthly workshops. The walls of such premises from below to a height of up to a meter are made of stone processed slabs. At the bottom of the rooms, objects, crafts and tools made of Kushkulda jasper were found. The scientists found out that the workshops were built more than 10 thousand years ago. Priceless archaeological artifacts give scientists the opportunity to learn more about the ancient inhabitants of the Bashkir Trans-Urals, to find out their living conditions in this territory, the traditions of processing tools from a fairly strong rock of jasper. Scientists have already appreciated the skill of ancient stonemasons.

The discovery will also provide an opportunity to establish a more accurate time interval for the settlement of the ancient peoples of this territory, will allow a fresh look at the history of the region.
