This lake occupies the third place in Buryatia in terms of water surface area, second only to Gusinoy Lake and Baikal.
The name of this lake is Baunt (the photo is presented in the article). One interesting fact should be noted. This area is known for the fact that in 2008, three kilometers from the source of the river. Upper Tsypa and in the south-western direction, 70 kilometers from the lake, were discovered the remains of the Bauntovsky prison, built back in 1652 by Russian Cossacks.

Fauna
The numerous streams, lakes, rivers and streams in this area are nesting sites for a variety of birds. The Russian Red Data Book includes the osprey, Asian godwit, black stork and white-tailed eagle living in the region.

An important feature of the area is the local resort called Goryachiy Klyuch located here. It is located at one of the extremities of Lake Baunt near a hot spring. At the outlet, the water temperature is +54ºС. The source is represented by three griffins. There are also therapeutic warm muds, the properties and composition of which are not fully understood today.
The resort used to have a national significance, and people from all over the big country came here to refresh their he alth. Since then, a picturesque alley has been preserved here, built in the 30-40s of the 20th century, where various tree species grow today.
